Bajorans on Voyager

^ This was a pretty old thread resurrection. Do try not to bump any older than a year or so. Can always start a new thread on the same topic. That being said I'm not locking it, carry on!
Apologies. I did not know this was even an old thread before I saw this messaged, and checked the dates again. I can't remember how I found this thread if it's really this old, maybe it came up in a search result? I'll try not to let it happen again.

It would be much easier if the threads we aren't supposed to reply to were simply closed, to be honest.

How many Bajorans were on Voyager? I only remember the Bajoran from Learning Curve and Tabor from Nothing Human. Did we see any others??
There could have been any number of Bajorans on the crew. Eighter from Jakoteys narquis ship or from the voyqger crew. After all there is plenty of crew we never get to see bcs they work on the so called lower decks and such. So who knows how many Bajorans could have been in that crew. Since there where plenty of em in starfleet. Even in TNG episodes. So i recon thet could have bring in as many characters as wanted. But since u mention the Bajor theme. I kinda wonder if Cardassia ever redeemed itself and joint the federation at dome point in the later future. We know from some future episodes that the romulans apparently join someday. But i don't remember ever hearing that about Cardassia. It was such an interesting 'race'.

Not sure, but:
Tabor
Tal Celes (also in The Haunting of Deck 12)
Jor
Gerron
Trexis
Alery
Bereyt
Kayla
Tala
Marika
Interesting comment!

During my work with The Kes Website, I've tried to find all characters listed in episodes and books and I did find the following Bajorans:

Tala (appeared in the VOY book Violations
Bereyt (appeared in the VOY book Ragnarok
Gerron (first appeared in the VOY episode Learning Curve
Kayla (appeared in the VOY book Chrysalis
Tabor (firts appeared in the VOY episode Nothing Human
Tal Celes (First appeared in the VOY episode Good Shepherd
Trexis (appeared in the VOY book Her Klingon Soul-Day Of Honor

Where have you found the others?

Note that I've often considered Tala and Tal Celes being the same person due to the similarity of their names.

Cardasaian officer who was part of Damar's resistance in the final arc of DS9. Played by Vaughn Armstrong (his second Cardassian on DS9).
Yes, that's right!
I remember him now when you mentioned it!

But the difference is that he was actually a Cardassian male while Seska was a female. Of course Seska's real name could have been seskal and she could have been a sister to Seskal but since Seska was supposed to be a Bajoran, we must assume that there probably was a real Bajoran Seska somewhere and thhat the Cardassian agent who became Seska had another name. I assume that the situation was the same as with Raymond Boone in the DS9 episode Tribunal when the "Boone" we saw was a Cardassian agent who had taken over the real Boone's identity and had an altered face.

In the Tala/Tal Celes case it was about one (or two) Bajorans who were crewmembers on Voyager.

Since some of the VOY books had some similar names as characters in VOY episodes "Lt. Collins" and "The Devlin twins" (maybe because of copyright reasons), cases I actually assumed that they were the same characters in both books and episodes, I just took the liberty to se Tal celes as "tala" since the names were almost similar.

But note that "Tala" showed up in two of the VOY books years before Tal Celes showed up on the TV series.

Yes, Seska and Seskal were obviously two completely different people, which I believe was the point Tosk was making.

A letter difference between two characters does not mean they are the same people. Even accidentally.
