Not sure about had names but I do like the fact that apparently all NASA shuttles had a Starship named for it. A good nod to realism.

Probably a good reason why Wales doesn't have its own navy.
Lil'Hal from Homestuck (it's a webcomic, not a comic comic. should have specified lol). He's basically an AI that was programmed to act as one of the characters should he be away from his computer while someone is contacting him, except he (Lil'Hal, not the guy who he was programmed to act like) eventually gains sentience for some reason.
