I choose bacon. I'm pretty sure it's ambrosia.
If I had to choose it would be bacon, in its many varieties.
But they're flimsy strips of pure awesome taste explosionism, which makes up for their lack of bulk.
Why must we always choose? Don't most of us live in a free world where our inalienable rights of both sausage and bacon can not be abridged! Where our rights to eat the greasy and fatty foods is our choice to make! I refuse to live in this breakfast fascism!
-having said that, I welcome our new breakfast fascism overlords, and I chose sausage. I'm picky about bacon. I like it crunchy, but too many places serve soggy bacon. It's hard to fuck up sausage...

My choice was based on the opposite opinion - sausages in some restaurants can be a little... off, whereas bacon's reliable wherever you go.
I fancy a bit of fried bread though, is that an option?

I concur with your scientific analysis.
I've had lots of bad sausage (okay, that sounds kind of wrong), but rarely have I experienced bacon that didn't taste good at even the most run down desert diners imaginable.
2 rashers unsmoked back bacon, 3 sausages, fried egg, chips, tomato sauce.
