Babylon 5

I just got to Thirdspace in my rewatch. (Watching with everything in rough chrono order.)

Man, did I forget what a wet fart of a nothing movie it is. Ugh. Worse, the storyline feels like it could barely fill a regular ep, let alone double-length.

Now imagine if instead of using the shadow hybrid telepaths to dispose of the earth Fleet, that they had dumped the third space artifact into Earth orbit, and took a step back?

15 billion dead?

You can't make a cake without breaking a few eggs.

Thirdspace isn't much good, but I'll take it over River of Souls, Legends of the Rangers, or The Lost Tales in a heartbeat.

I have to agree with this. At least THIRDSPACE had a creepy, horror vibe and atmosphere throughout. As a fan of that kind of thing, it really helps to elevate the movie. Plus, it further helped to cement the nickname John 'Nuke 'Em' Sheridan. :)

Martin Sheen was wasted on THE RIVER OF SOULS. The less said about LEGEND OF THE RANGERS and THE LOST TALES, the better.

The only thing I can remember about The Lost Tales is that I loved that we got more of Peter Woodward's Galen...and yet I don't even remember what his story was about.

Galen is looking for a good tailor for some cloak repairs, but took a wrong turn in space, wound up on the wrong space station, and can't find Garak.

Okay, just finished season four. Great stuff.
In The Beginning tomorrow, followed by season five...I hope I enjoy it more than I did the first time. :)

Every time I watch season 5 I enjoy it more. Yes, there are rough spots, but it's still good. Especially the back half. And Lockley is absolutely fucking awesome.
I was able to watch season 1-4 on PTEN over the air with an antenna. Where I live there isn't cable TV available, and I didn't get a satellite dish until 2002. I wasn't able to watch season 5 until they started releasing it on Laser Disc in the late 90's, with 2 episodes per disc in 4:3 aspect ratio. I got half way through season 5 when they stopped the LD releases and switched the releases to DVD in season box sets. There was a pause of a year or so during the switch from LD to DVD. I eventually got to watch all of season 5 when I got the DVD box set. Finally getting to watch what were new to me episodes was quite an enjoyable experience.

I think the telepath storyline suffered from some choices, but agree that the back half of it is some of the show's best work.
