Babylon 5

There is a part of me that wonders whether Delenn bears some responsibility for how things turned out with Lennier. He made his own choices, but there may have been times when she might have made those choices mroe clear-cut for him.
"My assistant is wildly attracted to me to the point where it's interfering with his duties. Luckily, 'interference,' in this case, is him deciding to quit altogether, so it seems the problem has taken care of itself."

"Hey Londo... Can you get Lennier Laid? He just sits on that motorcycle all day revving the engine and looking at me."

Sleeping In Light was meh. A whole episode waiting for Sheridan to die. I was expecting it to be set a little after he died with everyone coming together to reminisce about old times.

I was glad to see Vir, considering he’s the last of my favourite characters to still be alive.

A few episodes ago I realized that Londo would not be in the finale because of the events of In The Beginning, which made me really sad. So I was holding out hope that we’d see G’Kar.

Nope. Also dead. Actually double dead if you count in real life.

Geez why do all my favs have to die!?

It was nice to see Zack though.

I’m glad I was finally talked into watching it because I really enjoyed it.

Seasons: 3, 4, 2, 5, 1

I think I have a fritzy gaydar.

When Delenn was offering Susan the Ranger One Job, they were close enough to hug, and they looked like they were about to kiss... And then a couple minutes later after John was dead, Susan had the run of Delenn's house BEFORE SUNUP.

And then there's the true strength comes from unlikely places where Zack and Vir's arms are touching as Vir is ignoring some very fetching concubines.

Sorry, but I'm not quite following you here. We knew from Sheridan's flash-forward in "War Without End" that Londo allowed Sheridan and Delenn to escape, and that shortly thereafter he (via Keeper) and G'kar killed each other. Or are you saying that you hoped G'kar had survived that?

I don’t remember seeing either of them trying to kill each other in In The Beginning. Just that G’Kar was waiting in the shadows to kill Londo. G’Kar’s death is a complete surprise to me.

I didn't say "In the Beginning", I said, "War Without End". The flash-forward shown there extends beyond the future events shown in ItB.

They talked about strangling each 20 years down the line as far back as season one.

I suppose G'Kar could have have received damage from londo, so that he died from complications after he strangled Londo, but they literally can't strangle each other to death since as soon as one of them dies, they release the pressure. Unless Londo and G'Kar died, but the Keeper survived?

Lennier left Sheridan to die, so that he could have Delenn. :wtf:

Londo gave a Keeper as a gift for the baby. I get he was forced to but still :wtf:
In case you didn't make the connection; that Keeper in the jar is why Sheridan & Delenn are on Centauri Prime in the WWE/ItB flash-forwards, and why Delenn says "our son is safe!" David got Keepered and held hostage, because the Drakh still held a grudge.

It's been a while since I've seen this episode but I vaguely recall Londo trying to subtly signal to them that something is "off." Though Londo being Londo, him seeming "off" is just "Londo on a Tuesday."
Either that or Delenn's shadow detector implant was triggered by the proximity of the keeper, as it did when Morden showed up.

Londo is not subtle.

"Sheridan have you got some brivari or that fine earth Whisky?"

"No, it's poisonous to MInbari"

"Just a little hidden somewhere?"

"Not a drop, or my wife will be running around the house with a cleaver."

"You must have some alcohol somewhere? Please"

"Dude, I have to give up drinking to tap that. It's a harsh sacrifice, so stop rubbing it in."

"Just a thimble full of gin maybe?"

"Nada."

Word for word, JMS better not sue me.

Londo wanted to knock out his keeper, but it was the wrong planet to find 11sies.

Yeah, Londo tries to warn them, in his way, but they miss the hints. Delenn does seem to realize that Londo has a deeper problem, but apparently she doesn't fully realize the scope of it.

The part of this that I find vaguely bothersome is that Franklin and Marcus had a direct encounter with a Keeper; you'd think that would have resulted in some precautions going forward.

What kind of precautions? Shoot anyone that acts weird in the shoulder?
It's a big galaxy full of weird crap (I mean just look at how much weird crap showed up on B5 when it was just sat there in the middle of nowhere) and they had nothing to connect THAT one creature with the Shadows, much less the Drakh.
Sheridan found out that there was a Keeper on Londo in Season three and he did nothing about it.
He found out that Londo had one on him 17 years into some possible future that just like the "Garabaldi's last stand" future, may or may not even come to pass. Again, nothing really solid to go on.

No need to be hyperbolic. But Captain Jack's allies were able to figure out he was acting unusual even if they didn't know the precise cause. One would think it would be easy enough to come up with some additional precuations that could be taken at least for high-level meetings. Of course, for all we know such precautions were taken after that encounter.

Hell, it would probably be enough to subject everyone to quick telepathic scans, or even just require everyone to submit to physicals on a regular basis.

I don't remember the specifics of the episode, so I concede that the Keeper may not have been directly linked to the Shadows, much less the Drakh, but does that part even matter? I think the key threat is that some alien race(s) have access to a creature that can force others to act in the ways it dictates and that apparently once it's been implanted there's no clear way to save the host.
