Aw, crud! Margaret Clark is gone now, too.

I believe David is referring to Jaime Cerota, the junior-most member of the tie-in team.

(And it's not until I hit send that I realize Michael and Christopher were riffing on A&C...)

I was expecting a KRADlist(TM). C'est la vie

So use the links I found and start making one. Others will happily add to it, then KRAD might even correct it. ;)

It will probably be an extensive list. They've been doing media tie-ins for a long time. Pocket Books International even did a set of "Star Trek Log" omnibus reprints!

Just off the top of my head, I know Pocket has done ALIAS, BUFFY, ANGEL, SABRINA, ROSWELL, TREK, Marvel, THE 4400, and at least four UNDERWORLD books . . . .

God bless them!

^ It worked for me too (and I'm in the U.S., not Australia). But even if it hadn't, I don't see how anybody, least of all Therin, earned an eye-rolling.
Sorry; I was trying to demonstrate how useless and annoying it is to respond with eye-rolling to posts that made honest mistakes.

He did it, and I did it right back.

It's possible the underlying sarcasm was lost.

You have nothing to apologize for, whereas I do. I realized what you were doing and I definitely caught the sarcasm. After I posted I thought, "I hope Thrawn realizes I wasn't referring to him," but did I clarify? No, I did not. My apologies.

^ Exactly. "Instantaneous communication," ha! ;) Instantaneous words, sure, but that's not the same as communication.

Also CSI, various computer games including ones with "-craft" in their titles, one of the TV wrestling franchises, Degrassi: The Next Generation, etc. At least, that's what I remember seeing at the Pocket booth at NY Comic-Con.

Don't forget:

Star Trek: YA Series

Well, the original question was about what tie-in lines Pocket had published in the past as well as the present. Although it's not as if YA Star Trek is a separate franchise from the rest of Star Trek, so it was already implicitly covered.

That's not really anything to apologize for either, but I'm glad we've gotten it cleared up.

I just heard about this, late, as usual.

My reaction, sadly, is a selfish one. I never got to work with Margaret and the odds are high now that I won't.:(

And, based on the number of bigger Trek guns between me and any future novels I might want to write, I just don't see yours truly getting squoze in.

This sucks. Sucks for her, being out of a gig. Sucks for the remaining editors whose workload has increased while I bet their pay has not. Sucks for the fans that will likely see a diminished number of novels being produced over the next few years and, of course, it sucks for me.

But I am glad Ed and the others are still around. It means, despite all the other crap, the line is still in capable hands.

And I don't care about all the other tie-in lines. Trek's the only one that has ever mattered to me.

The honesty in this post is really nice to read. Since I heard of the cuts I have been wondering how this would affect the volume of work produced over the next couple of years. Its really nice to see a writer expressing regret along the lines of "This sucks for me, because I have yet to write some stories I want to tell." This is a refreshing perspective, and I don't think it is selfish in a negative way. Don't feel bad for wanting to write more trek.:techman:

I know how Geoff feels. I always wanted to write for one of the anthologies, but I've always felt a little inadequate to push myself. Now that I'm getting the confidence, Pocket seems to be pulling away from tie-ins. My timing always sucks...
