Aventine

I know it has been mentioned as a possibility, but I have a feeling a decision probably won't be made until the Typhon Pact miniseries has been finished.

Damn, that is one sexy ship!

I actually envy Ezri right now.

Smart, sexy ship for a smart, sexy lady. ;)

Amen...amen...and AMEN!!!

I saw the JJ-Enterprise. "Hello, Beautiful!"

I saw the new US Navy Carrier, the Ronald Reagan. "Woah...that is one...sexy...SHIP!"

Now the Aventine.:eek::eek: OY! (Faints dead on)

(Recovers, pants for breath) Don't worry...I'm okay....

NOW! I must say, yes, that IS a worthy ship for Ezri. That ship just plain screams POWER!!! There's something intensely attractive about the enthusiastic, fun-loving Ezri (who's also kinda short!) in command of what could well be the most powerful ship in the fleet!

I would love to see this ship on the cover. With Ezri of course. She is too cute not to put on the cover!

Amen to that!

Makes sense. If the books in Typhon staring the Aventine tank, they know not to make a series.

Though on the rather unlikely event of the Typhon Pact books "tanking", I think it'd be a bit of dodgy reasoning to put the blame on Dax and Aventine, unless of couse the books soley featured them, which they wont.

I don't think we know that yet. It's certainly possible that the miniseries will have one book per ship, or something like that.

^^ I suppose that is possible, but we do know it will be more than one book, and since the chances of all those books being focused on or around the Aventine exclusvely seems to be minimal at best, I would find putting the all or most of the blame on the Aventine and saying "no series for you" if the Typhon books performed below expectations to be unfair and unreasonable.

Sure, if the books were structured like you suggested, and the one based around the Aventine sold way less than the others, it would make that criticism fairer, but if the style is anything like the Destiny trilogy for example, with the focus shifting repeatedly, it would make that criticism harsh.

I like this design for the Aventine. It seems pretty faithful to the books' descriptions as it's pretty much what I had in mind while reading them.

Thanks again for the nice comments!!

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I was reading the Destiny series, so I wanted to give that extra contrast. :)

So--anything on the weapons and shield capabilities of Aventine? Memory Beta is silent on this....

Have you tried the page for the Vesta class, rather than the individual ship? Though basically all that's been described so far is that is has fancy new experimental phaser cannons.

I have to agree that it’s a great looking ship, but doesn’t anyone else think it looks a bit...phallic? :shifty:

Depends what angle one looks at it from, I think. For instance, this view...

...has a rather pleasant V-shape to it.

Perhaps it was designed by a Hermat?

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman
