He was the biggest star in the world at one point. If they had wanted an unconventional space hero who dances, he’d be at the top of the list. He was originally going to be in Jim Henson’s Labyrinth as Jareth.

Then things changed. Thankfully we don’t have a movie where Michael Jackson kidnaps a baby and instead got David Bowie, who provided the sexual awakening for way more people than you expect for a film with puppets.

Take me away Goblin King.
Point taken. But David Bowie as Star Lord.... Mmmm.

Forgot to remind Ylu that Ronan was very much a big deal in the Kree empire, and yes, over the years, Captain Marvel/aka "Vers" would have known a great deal about Ronan's activities.

If the Kree stayed at the top of her agenda across the 20 years, sure. But I see no particular reason to assume that. It's a big universe, and there could be all sorts of other space threats out there.

Plus, it's the Kree *Empire*. Presumably, they're doing lots of different stuff across the stars at at any given time. Even if Carol is still making them her top priority, she could have her hands full on the other side of known space or whatever during the events of GotG.

The follow-up film to Infinity War, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe storyline. A complicated film. So, where to begin? At the beginning, where Hawkeye is teaching his daughter how to use a bow. His anguish as Thanos' Snap takes place is very well realised. The film proper picks up three weeks after the Snap, with Danvers rescuing Stark and Nebula from being stranded in space and bringing them back to Earth. The ensuing scenes as they try to track down Thanos to undo the Snap, were done very well.
However, there is failure there also. Not saying how, but that was written very well, with all the characters acting as you would expect them to. Then there is another (much longer) time jump, during which the various Avengers go their separate ways. Then Scott Lang emerges from the Quantum Realm (continuing from the Ant-Man and the Wasp mid credit scene), and suggests a solution to the Avengers. A method of time travel. The way they go about this (and brainstorm), in planning to retrieve the infinity stones was depicted in a very good way.
2012. Retrieving the Mind, Time and Space Stones during the Battle of New York. Mind, Captain America retrieves the Mind stone by pretending to be a HYDRA agent. The improvisation there was well depicted. However, Time. The discussion between Banner and the Ancient One was one of the best parts of the film, and sets up a scene later on in the film. (More on that below.) Space. Failure. The 2012 version of Loki escapes with the Tesseract, instead of going to Asgard. (That would be an interesting alternate timeline).
1970. The Tesseract and additional Pym Particles from the SHIELD base in New Jersey. The scene between Tony and his father was rather good, and helps resolve his character. (Especially given what happens, See below.) 2013. Retrieving the Reality Stone from Asgard. This part was good also, especially the scenes between Thor and Frigga. 2014. Retrieving the Soul and Power stones. The scenes on Vormir were rather moving, especially given what happens to Black Widow (and some well depicted anguish on Hawkeye's part.
Power. The past version of Thanos gets involved, leading to the final battle sequence. A bit surprising how this happened, but it was a great twist. Hulk Un-Snap! Then those who came back helping defeat Past!Thanos, that was rather good! However, the final Snap (with Stark!) is very moving and a great call back to his first film. The ending with Captain America after he returns the Infinity Stones to their realities was a bit confusing though. 9.25/10.

Someone has to go inside the soul Stone to get her.

A soul stone that Steve deposited into a different reality.

If the snap is undone, then Pepper/Tony are back to the beginning of Infinity War, when they weren't together. If Tony makes up, they can have their daughter. The notion that she's somehow automatically abolished comes from...well, who knows?

That's not true - please watch IW again (just 10 minutes in was the clue). Tony and Pepper were together and engaged to be married by then (by the end of Homecoming). So, there's no making up necessary. Maybe get your facts straight before ranting. ;)

And about Howard... again, Howard doesn't apologize to a total stranger. They were talking about having (and about to be having) kids and the emotions and fears that come with it. That Tony took comfort from it - where's the evil thing in that?

And Tony's 2 deathscenes: Hm... first of all, that Tony'd die was not really surprising (RDJ's contract ending, Tony's arc coming to an end)... but did anyone actually believe he'd die within the first 5 minutes of the movie?!? Especially since in the trailer he was shown to be back on Earth hugging Pepper? Sorry to burst your 2 serious death-scenes bubble... That a characters may think himself in serious trouble doesn't change that fact. Me thinks there's a bit of anger over RDJ's role in the MCU in general (and salary which you didn't forget to point out)...

Is this movie going to end up a "Reichenbach Falls" moment for Natasha?

Let's hope not (and I don't think that ScarJo wants to do this character anymore, aside from being in the upcoming prequel origin movie about how the Black Widow came to be.)

If they make a black widow movie and if it's a prequel it could be interesting. Just a one off film. No need to work out a trilogy. Put everything and the kitchen sink in it.

Wow just saw Avengers End Game fantastic film with only 1 flaw.. Brie Larson.... hello charm/charisma/personality think she missed the memo. Groot despite being actual wood and only having the ability to say 3 words "I am Groot" has more charm/charisma and personality than Larson whose face and eyes look like someone who is eternally angry at something or someone. Thankfully she only plays a very small part

edit
question for those that saw Captain Marvel is Brie's performance as wooden and her character as hollow and unrelatable as her small part in Endgame ?.
Or because its a solo movie and she has more screen time do we saw more to her character ?
if I go off Endgame there's no way I could sit through a whole movie of her.

Shhh... be careful. No one is supposed to say anything negative about Brie Larson...
Do wish we got more of Groot, he did get one line, but definitely can't wait for GotGv3 (or AotGv1 as it's also known :D)

^ I like this explanation in part, and if he stuck to the alternate timeline "winking out" once the stone is returned I'd be fine.

The trouble is where it keeps going and "self-corrects." In this case, Thanos would do the Snap in that alternate. What would happen in that timeline then? Well, the Avengers would travel to an alternate timeline to borrow some Infinity Stones, and the Steve from that timeline would go to another and live a life with Peggy.

So either there would be a cascade of infinite and identical timelines created, or one timeline that was an identical mirror (we borrowed their stones, they borrowed ours), or there was really only ever one time line.

Where was this strong argument? The only reason he agreed with the Accords was his own guilt; there would be no young man killed if not for Stark's entire Ultron project, and if he was not approached by the grieving mother, he would run around as always. That was all on Stark, and he dragged dutiful Avengers into the mess he created, culminating in Sokovia, hence the driving incident which the accords were named for..

What with the Stark anger??? Do you enjoy the "let's blame Stark"-game?

The idea of Ultron was caused by what Tony saw in The Avengers: a fleet of ships coming for Earth. This was reenforced by Wanda's implanted vision at the beginning of AoU. May I remind you that Tony *and Bruce* ran tests on a beginner's version of Ultron simultaneously with running tests on the Sceptre - and that was it? That somehow that programme then interacted with the Sceptre, took over Jarvis and became Ultron is in no way Tony's fault. And Sokovia isn't, either - unless it's Wanda's as well. But she's redeemed herself and "is badass"... Do I have to understand that train of thought?

Yes, Tony's always been about accountability, see his first press conference after returning from Afghanistan. What's wrong with that? What's the problem with the fact that he feels guilt over what's been done in his name? Either he's selfish and egocentric, only caring about himself, or he feels guilt and holds himself (and the Avengers) accountable for what they're doing - it can't be both.

I rather find Steve's notion that he knows best, questionable: He puts himself above 117 nations, the UN, and the people he's claiming to protect (in a way that they get no say where the Avengers go, or even whether they're welcome there). And what about damages (Lagos, Bucharest)? Who pays for all the damage Steve/the Avengers wreak? And let's not talk about the equipment: Who pays for it? Who maintains it? If Steve is all alone... hm... should he depend on donors? And be beholden to them?

Stark was all in favor of backing Ross until he finally learned what Steve told him for some time: Bucky was framed, but he (Stark) did not want to hear anything about the innocence of Cap's "war buddy"

Again with that strange interpretation of "backing up"... he wasn't backing up Ross. He knew that the Accords were coming, 117 nations (incl the US with Sec of State Ross) don't think up the Accords in a second, those were years in coming. Unlike Steve, Tony knew that it was inevitable and rather than fighting from without, he chose to fight from within, make changes wherever possible.

I think it rather strange that Tony should trust Steve and his hunches... but that goes both ways. Why doesn't Steve trust Tony on the Accords? He didn't from the start (before Vienna). And please don't start with the Wanda-"imprisonment". Granted, Tony should have talked to her, but the break-out, including shoving Vision through the floor, is in no way a justified reaction with that stupid "I can't control their fear, only my own" (hm, what about actually learning to control your powers and temper so that no one has to fear anything???). Cap et al just prove Ross's point here.

If Tony had actually been backing Ross, then he wouldn't have tried to get Steve to agree to a compromise, he wouldn't have worked to stay the kill-on-sight order, he wouldn't have broken into the RAFT, he wouldn't have gone to Siberia once he had proof of Bucky's innocence in the Vienna bombings. Please back up your claims by facts and shed your captain-colored glasses.

Ant Man, Wanda and Hawkeye were defensive measures; Steve knew Stark and others would come acting as enforcers, so he had no choice.

Ah yes, so Steve may call for "defensive" (why then does it end up with Wanda dropping cars on Tony? Interesting concept of "defensive") backup, Tony may not. What kind of logic is that?

In Civil War, Cap was right: Bucky was innocent, and his trying to uncover the evidence was the right thing to do.

No one disputes that. (Although Steve was trying to save Bucky, not uncover evidence up until the airport.)

I see where Steve's coming from, I really do: But Steve didn't get the big picture of what was going on in the world/in politics. He may have been right about Bucky (although... interestingly again see above, Tony's supposed to follow Steve on his hunches, as Steve didn't have proof of Bucky's innocence, either... but Steve can't and doesn't trust Tony... okay) - but he was wrong about the way to go about saving Bucky.

Again, Tony offered a legal(!) way out of the situation in Berlin. And Steve was completely in the wrong not to tell Tony about the Winter Soldier killing his parents and then expecting Tony to react in any way rationally (would you with the killer of your parents standing right beside you and a supposed friend lying to you? - and even then, Tony pulled his punches. With the repulsors of his suit he could have easily killed both of them right at the start)... again waxing about trust is a mere joke if it doesn't go both ways. It never has (until Endgame): Tony wasn't called to help in TWS (he's a computer specialist, hacking is his second nature), and that continues on to AoU and CW.

But again, let's agree to disagree.

That could be his conflict, so it is possible for him to experience both, even though one was driving his behavior, likely.

Vindication! The Screenwriters disagree with the directors on how Caps last time travel worked. And it matches my interpretation!
From the Fandango interview:
Christopher Markus: That is our theory. We are not experts on time travel, but the Ancient One specifically states that when you take an Infinity Stone out of a timeline it creates a new timeline. So Steve going back and just being there would not create a new timeline. So I reject the "Steve is in an alternate reality" theory.

I do believe that there is simply a period in world history from about '48 to now where there are two Steve Rogers. And anyway, for a large chunk of that one of them is frozen in ice. So it's not like they'd be running into each other.
