So, do all Marvel Universe romances end unconsummated, with the male superhero left alone in a robot aircraft to presumably crash somewhere in the ocean?

Well they have to make their films relatable to the target audience, who usually don't get to take the girl of their dreams home with them. ;)

By the way if I had been Bruce Banner I would have told Nat that I could always use another shower. :)

He has said recently that he wants to go back to doing original work on television. Joss Whedon likes creating his own universes with his own characters and stories. He doesn't like the constraint that comes with having to work with another person's world.

I'm hoping someone will let him do a Fray series.

Well, there's Thor, in which Thor finds himself left alone on Asgard after being forced to destroy the Bifrost. Wait...damn it!

Although they did remedy that in Thor: The Dark World, which ended with him returning to Earth to be with Jane, and Age of Ultron established that they're still together.

Pepper and Tony never seemed to have that problem.
Tony has fallen into the habit of leaving his future as Iron Man ambiguous while driving off in a sports car, however.

Depends on the Marvel era (Silver, Gold, etc.) the romance happened. Reed and Sue got married - and had a child 'Franklin' who was so ultra powerful, Reed was scared he'd unknowingly destroy reality; so he induced a coma and put him in suspended animation which lead to sue filing for divorce...;) <-- All circa the mid 1970ies.

He wants to create an original female vigilante superhero. Something like a female Batman.

If the idea is he's too young and overwhelmed with sentience to think clearly, maybe it was a mistake for the quintessentially self-assured Spader to voice him; maybe a child's voice would have been more appropriate and scarier.

Indeed. Would have made much more sense and actually felt threatening. Quippy Spader-bot did not project even a tiny bit of menace.

Let me guess... Starting Dushku?
I would be up for that.

I dunno, he worked for me

I thought Age of Ultron was okay.

I wished Ultron had more menacing and not so jokey. I didn't care for the Bruce/Nat romance, but I tend to dislike that in superhero movies. I don't know what the hell was going on with Thor in that cave, those scenes really should have been cut. It would have improved the pacing tremendously.

The action was great as always, and I loved how the movie began with that assault on Hydra. I enjoyed the twins. Nat's flashback was cool. The whole Widow is a weaker character in AoU controversy from certain groups is ridiculous! The heroes regrouping at the farm really reminded me of the first Ninja Turtles movie. My favorite part was finding out more about Hawkeye and his storyline.

Not as good as the first Avengers, but I did like it. I consider it midtier as a MCU movie. There has been better and there has been worst.

I did like that the same technician from the Triskelion who refused to launch the Insight helicarriers even when Crossbones put a gun to his head got to be one of the techs operating the rescue helicarrier here.

It's good that they acknowledged that you don't have to have superpowers or guns or armored suits in order to be a hero, and that he was recognized for his bravery in risking his life to save countless others.

Yeah, basically he saved everyone because it was his refusal to launch the carriers that bought Cap the few seconds he needed to complete the targeting system sabotage.

Definitely. I was stoked to see Agent Young-Austin-Powers back again, didn't expect it. It's the little things. :)
