attention girls: embrace your inner...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Ooh, Lush! I adore Lush.

There are few things more therapeutic than going in there and just smelling things. :)

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Oh, yeah! And they had a great sale going today! Buy one of their specially tagged things, and get two free!!! :D

Hey, gals... Has anyone else ever done a Brazilian wax? :o

I go in for bikini waxes and that's as brave as I'll get. It hurts less after you've had it done a few times.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Good evening, ladies (and gents)! :)

Don't let me interupt your conversation on waxing (*stifles a shudder*). I'm just back in town for the week and just had to pop in here to see how far back I'd have to scroll to find a Lunapad reference. It's become something of a hobby to me! (And you don't have to tell me that's strange. I already know that's strange! :p ) :D

Anyway, I hope you're all doing well! And if anyone sees T'Bonz, tell her I said "hi." ;)

Oh, and if anyone sees daeana, ask her if she's posted any recent pics! :D

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

i have. it's towards the beginning of the pic thread. :D

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Wow, quick reply!

A new pic of my favorite face? I must hop over there and take a look! ;) (Tracking down Lunapad references here will have to wait until tomorrow. :D)

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

here, i'll help.

lunapads has a cute new fabric: cocoa kaleidoscope. it's very cute. :D

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Heh! I appreciate the Lunapad info...I think... :D

Of course, alerting me to the new pic was much more appreciated. Have I told you before that you have a heartbreakingly beautiful face? ;)

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Hmmm... I wonder if Oprah knows about Lunapads? She did a whole "green" Favorite Things and Lunapads would qualify as environmentally friendly...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

isn't she, um, past the age of lunapads, though?

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Probably, but wouldn't she want women who aren't past that age to know about them?

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

being unfamiliar with oprah's, well, anything in general, did she include personal products in that? for whatever reason, menstrual products are rarely discussed. other than here, of course.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Frankly, I'm with daeana on this one -- personal female hygiene products are still pretty much not conversational items, except for around here. ;) And any item that is as "gross" as Lunapads isn't going to make a broadcast cut, especially in the daytime talk zone. It's rather sad, really.

FWIW, the new print is totally cute. It's a shame I can't justify purchasing anything right now. :(

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I think if you can discuss vajayjay and penis health, you can talk about environmentally friendly period products...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

you know, i can imagine them discussing green disposables, but i can't imagine them discussing reusables at all.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I agree with you, Peach, really, I do. I was so glad to discover that reusables were even an option when daeana spread the light about Lunapads several years ago. I've found that most women in my age bracket and younger think that only way to handle your period is with disposables. But discussing reusables on national television isn't something enough of the audience wants to hear about. It's not worth the risk to their advertising dollars, especially if any disposable fem. hygiene product is one of their sponsors.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

i cringe every time i see a commercial that uses blue fluid.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I forgot... Proctor and Gamble probably sponsors Oprah... well, I use disposables myself...

 Can you imagine how many men (and women, too, really) would totally freak out if the commercial used red fluid?

Don't sweat it, Peach. Though...have you considered making the switch to reusables?
