attention girls: embrace your inner...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

11? Whoa...
I never could get away with the flannel pajama pants for the fall semester finals, myself. When one lives at home and one's father is a dean at said school, it's a lot harder to go to a final in extremely casual wear...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^I think you missed the words "preparing for." For the actual final, I would have been dressed for a recital.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^Didn't miss it. I was an off-campus student, so unless I was preparing in my house, forget about it.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^No, actually, I missed a couple of words in your post. I'm sorry!

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

For some reason, I've had a headache all frakking day. Head pain + the bleeding = :(

I'm going to bed.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^Good night. Feel better when you wake up.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Don't worry about it, Scatta. :)
I just got a major happy boost from my 17-year-old cousin of all people in the form of a kickin' job tip! Yes, my cousin networked for me.
It just so happens that my high school principal is looking for a person for the elementary school's after school program. He wants someone who can tutor kids and engage them. I'm looking at good money for this and it's a few hours in the afternoon Monday through Friday, but I'll be in effect starting a program with some guidance.
If this works out, should I get something for my cousin?

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

yeah, I think that would be nice :) Something small would do.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I know she likes Lush stuff and... Victoria's Secret... :o
It's hard to think of the kid as a senior in high school and a college student next year...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Lush is probably the better "thank you" gift. Unless, of course, you want to get her a VS gift card and put it with a thank you note that says, "My luck is looking up, thanks to you. Here's hoping that you get lucky too." [ducks]

Well, tomarrow morning I don the suit and get on the plane to Richmond for the next step in my job search.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Wise choice, IMO.

(I just knew that's what you'd do. ;) )

She likes the quality of the bras at VS (so she says-- she's a little too label-conscious right now), but I don't like going in there. The one at my local mall is skewing too teen...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Which one of you ladies is the bra expert in this thread? I need some advice especially concerning strapless ones, but I'd rather talk about it via PM, if anyone can help.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Well, my trip was...um...not what I expected. I was gone for 20 hours and spent just over 4 in Richmond with the directions I had sent to my PDA deciding not to work. LOL I did accomplish a couple of things and start to feel even more comfortable with the decision, especially now that I've pushed my move back a week to give myself a little more time here to work on the preparations.

Oh, I had a good trip, even if it wasn't what I expected. Girls-Thread-Esk moments:

1. I walked up to this one boutique and noticed two things right off, first the REALLY cute peep-toe shoes in the window and second, the "Help Wanted" sign. It wasn't really what I wanted to do, but I was so taken with the place I couldn't resist. I guess instead of impulse buying, I'm now guilty of impulse applying. I set a later availability date on the application than on the ones I really wanted, though, so I'm sure they'll fill it before that.
2. I finally located "Pilates, Dance, and More."
3. We had some serious delays. For my part, I was grateful to have all that time with an excuse to sit around doing nothing but reading theatre books. The other passengers were not. (After midnight I wasn't as grateful either.)
4. I had a good chicken ceasar salad while stuck in the Atlanta airport and decided that the world was good.

i went to payless for absolutely no good reason the other day, and found a zebra print satchel for $5.50. i've been looking for a zebra print purse for a while.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Scatta, impulse applying may work out well.
daeana, lucky... :)

I'm off to my niece's first birthday party shortly, and fortunately, the leg of my jeans fit over my therapeutic boot! :) I made up a cake for her and her cousin, but I'm not really happy with the way her cake turned out. It's okay, but it's not my best work. I'm happier with her cousin's cake (for him, a cell phone; for her, a cake with a monkey on it).
Oh, yeah... CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMPS!

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.
