attention girls: embrace your inner...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I could use that right now, pookha...
I spent part of last night puking my socks up. So I have to stay home this morning and give myself time to recover. I got dinner last night for me and my parents and I ordered something I thought wouldn't hurt me. Unfortunately, however, it hurt me... badly. So I am out of commission for the day.
I did do something fun this weekend for myself. I finally got the remaining two seasons of TOS on DVD and the six seasons of TNG that I've wanted. I got lucky at Costco on Saturday!

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I'm back! :) Did anyone even notice I was gone? ;)

The reunion was a lot of fun -- it was good to see the people I used to run around with. I even brought back a little California sun with me. But it's good to be home, too.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^It's awesome that you went!

And hubby survived? :D

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

 Yes, he and the small fries all survived, but I think he was happy to see me walk in the door. ;)

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Men are tougher than we give them credit for sometimes... Unless, of course, they get a boo-boo. ;)

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

my friend always joked that if a guy bled from the crotch, he'd look for a band-aid.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Then again, there are some guys who are pretty tough when it comes to injuries.
My dad cut his finger off and drove himself to the ER and didn't tell my mother until after he came home from having it fixed... :wtf:

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^That's called not wanting to be yelled at for not being more careful while you're already having a bad day. ;)

---

My cycle has developed a distinctive pattern, unfortunately, it seems to be a fractal. I was a week earlier than expected this time. Night before last I was just like, "huh?"

I don't think my skin knew what to expect either. Sunday night I started to break out like I sometimes do a week or more before, and then it started to clear up the next morning because it was here. That was definitely the good part.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Does anyone here have experience with stress fractures? I've been limping for not quite a week, and it's my bad foot to begin with...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

^I think my brain has stress-fractured a few times when my life was a lot more hectic than it is now, but my experiences with that probably wouldn't help.

Edit [fixes spelling error and giggles at it] [to self] hecktic...yeah, it was hecktic alright.

i know of people who have . it isnt just the pain but the feeling the limb isnt healing right.

which is what it seems you are going through.
now it is possible also there is tendon damage.
go to a doctor and make sure they send you to a good radiologist.

some have missed stress fractures.

i get to go in the morning for a follow up mammogram.. some type of ultra sound.
i am not to worried.
we have no breast cancer history in our family but due to the inflammation i have had problems with cysts.

azlynn,
is it possible for you to get a roomate.

would you mind having one.
it might be worthwhile if you do love to live in this area.

follow up edit on thursday..

i now have to go in for a biopsy.
because of Breast calcifications

but, i was told that 80 percent of the time it turns out fine when looking at these.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Thanks, pookha. Fortunately, I just put one of those nice little boots on my leg. That'll at least take some pressure off.
I hope your mammogram goes all right.
Edit: I hope your calcifications are nothing to worry about...

On a better note, my mom and I did a little shopping yesterday for my nephew by marriage... I think that's right. He's my sister-in-law's older sister's little boy and he turned a year old at the end of July. He missed being "born as the seventh month died" by 5 days. We got him a little Mega Bloks dumptruck, and then I had a little fun getting my best friend's little girl some stuff for the munchkin's second b-day. My Toys R Us was out of Color Wonder paper though, so we'll have to do a little looking this afternoon.
And the power went out in my neighborhood yesterday until early this morning. My theory is that yet another squirrel met its untimely demise inside of a transformer.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Sorry to post a second next to a post of mine...
The doc says my foot doesn't look broken!!! :)
However, I am off of it for a bit.

On a happier note, my niece Maddie says hi!

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

No broken bones is good news. Rest that foot for a while, and you'll be up and running in no time.

Hi, Maddie! :)

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

the first class of the semester (for both the class i TA and the one i'm taking) is tomorrow. so of course i'm stressing over what to wear.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

If you weren't a TA, I'd remind you that the first day, it's likely that some people are too bleary eyed to care. :) At my alma mater, there were girls that came to class in pajama pants.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Sweats are practically the uniform of half my college. As for me...it's that time of the month again. Woo.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

well, tomorrow's high is 97, so i don't think anyone except the prof will be wearing long pants. :p

see, i have to keep in mind that i'll have to walk around the classroom, which is a tiered auditorium type class, so i can't wear heels that are too high. such difficulties.

as for the class i'm taking, i know almost all of the other students, so i totally couldn't care less how i look for that one.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Now see, I could never do the pajamas or sweats. Of course, that could have been because I was a Music Business major at first and wound up in the Public Relations program taking business and journalism classes.

However, when I was preparing for either my Class Voice II or Music Theory final, I did go from my dorm to the music practice rooms in a zip-up flannel robe, wild pajama pants, and fuzzy slippers. I only did it once, though. It was after 11 p.m. when I left and I think my roommate may have been asleep.
