attention girls: embrace your inner...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

must... not... buy... purple stardust lunablanket........

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I'm partial to the midnight pansy.

<sigh> Like I need another thing from them.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

they dont mention it but they would be nice for an elderly person who uses protective underwear.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Yes, they would be. They also make great changing pads for diapering babies. I've given a few as baby shower presents in the past.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

If I were getting one for a changing table, I'd get the poodle pattern.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

YAY!!!!

i like to shop for lip glosses, and lately, i've decided i want a lip crayon. however, i do have 2.5 requirements:
1. no animal testing
2. no petrolatum, mineral oil, lanolin, or beeswax
2.5. ideally, no vanilla either

i just discovered that a lip gloss and lip crayon i've been eyeing are NOT tested on animals.

I'm waiting for the shoe pattern to come back. Otherwise something with coffee beans...

Sweet! daeana, have you checked the Lush website? I think they match all your requirements because a couple of products are vegan...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

unfortunately, there aren't any lush stores within a reasonable distance, so i didn't bother. :(

i need to actually try on lip stuff. most cosmetics are designed for white people, so even the darkest colors a brand offers can be too light for me.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I have a similar problem on the other end of the spectrum. I'm so pale that any lip color darker than a midtone makes me look just awful. So, I try on my colors before I commit to them, too. Fortunately, the lady I buy my cosmetics from is good about giving me a sample or two to play with when I want to try a new color.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I would comment on my difficulty finding cosmetics if I knew anything about them. ;)

My new housemate has promised to show me how it's done.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I'm olive-tone. Basically if it has peachy or yellow undertones, I'm good. Still, I rarely wear lipcolor. I usually just stick with balm.

that was me until, well, i looked in the mirror one day and it looked like i had no lips because they were so pale. then i decided i wanted to look alive. :p

for some reason, lip stuff often turns reddish on me, so stuff that looks good initially often ends up bright red, which is no good at all.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

I tend to go for pinks myself in lipsticks. I'm still looking for the perfect shade of red.
In other news, I got a new set of Egyptian cotton sheets...

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Haven't read this thread in a while! We're talking about lipstick? Just about the only one I wear is Raspberry Glace from Clinique. Pretty!

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

What's a lip crayon? I never wear lipstick ... can't seem to figure out the stuff and I feel like the color just always looks so odd on me. But I had a moment like daeana the other day and decided my lips looked hideously pale.

Right now I'm just using some sort of gloss/glace from Stila.

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

It's fall... and that means it's time for Toresica's Fashion Question of the Season.

I'm wondering about when it's appropriate to wear a denim jacket. Weather-wise, it's perfect for fall, but I don't have a pair of jeans that matches. Would it look odd if I wore it with a pair of jeans of a slightly different colour, as is shown in the photo below? How about jeans of a *very* different colour?

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch.

Toresica, it looks as though you're wearing a very dark-washed jean jacket with a traditional stonewash blue jean. You could put the jean jacket with khakis or with a darker jean.
