Less than two weeks!

I was looking around On Demand yesterday, and Starz has an Evil Dead folder, which is mostly the behind-the-scenes stuff, but they also have the original Evil Dead movie. I haven't seen that puppy in years. It's so beautifully trashy, and Bruce Campbell looks about fifteen.

I was only about twenty myself....

I was about 10 when Evil Dead came out but saw it after Evil Dead II hit video. Saw Army of Darkness in the theater.

They're legend around here because Raimi, Campbell and Tapert are all from lower Michigan. Raimi went to MSU my alma mater and hometown university. I remember the paper gave Army of Darkness like a 2 and the next week it was begrudgingly raised to a 7 or something as they were probably going to be lynched. That guy was the worse but pre-internet it was only him and Siskel and Ebert for timely reviews.
