The cover for the Capacitance Electronic Disc version of The Menagerie has interesting artwork of the Enterprise. Anyone know where this image came from?

For those wondering, Capacitance Electronic Disc was a failed predecessor to the Laser Disc. However, it functioned like a record with a needle. It came to market to late and Laser Disc killed it off.

It was invented in the 1960s, however did not come to market until 1981, at that point Laser Disc was already out, which was a superior format. It was cancelled in 1986.

Yeah, your post sent me on a Wikiwalk. Totally new to me, but it seems that’s because it was a commercial disaster that was doomed before it even came to market.
