I wouldn't be surprised if Tom's deal for coming back was the same as Harrison's deal for doing The Force Awakens.
I wouldn't mind if they kill the Earth one Superman as long as it meant we got to keep Brandon or Tom as the new permanent Superman.
This is "speculation spoilers" because now that I think about it, it's too obvious not to happen.
I wouldn't mind if they kill the Earth one Superman as long as it meant we got to keep Brandon or Tom as the new permanent Superman. in the comics, they killed the New 52 Superman and replaced him with the post-crisis version, and I believe one of the original ideas for the 80s crisis was for Kal L from earth two to survive and replace the Earth one Superman.
Given the way the writers treat Superman, it wouldn't shock me if Tyler dies. I've been expecting it for a year.
That said, just because this story has similar attributes to the comic story, does not mean it has to follow it to the letter. Given the nature of the TV shows, it shouldn't.
I would like to see this story shake some things up. I wouldn't mind seeing some Earths merged, but I do want a multiverse. The TV shows and actors that are guesting in this story should have enough screen time and significance to make it worthy of their casting. No more Flash 90s from last year. That was horrible.
Likewise, those actors and their shows should be respected enough not to be obliterated.
I'd like to see some permanent shakeups on Earths 1 and 38. Maybe those Earths merge, maybe they don't, but something post-Crisis that makes some changes for the better.
And I really want John to officially become John Stewart, Green Lantern, and history altered so that was how it always was.
They're not going to kill Supergirl or the Flash in any way in this version.I agree with a lot of this... I think Earth-38 and Earth 1 should merge (if CBS had passed on Supergirl, that could have happened). But I too like that have some part of the multiverse left.
But I think SOME of the other universes should die...I mean, with Burt Ward, at his age..a heroic death would be a nice goodbye. He is 74 now... now, he COULD live as long as Adam West (88), but just in case...
With the younger ones... I will wait and see...but would be fine with a couple of others (maybe 1 at the beginning of each crossover episode) going as well...
I'd like Diggle as Green Lantern, but I would be cool with it moving from THIS point forward.
And I know Crisis will NOT be beat for beat … I mean, Earth 90 dyng isn't the white anti-matter death (which might be cheaply done with the white out effect and/or relatively basic CGI), but rather a cheap looking smoke and "dead" bodies.. I expect the budget to be stretched, but not enough to show a cinematic Crisis.
The Berlanti shows have been good about having homages yet unique in their own right. But that Supergirl death is just too iconic NOT to include in some fashion. Do we know how Atom is leaving? Maybe HE will take the FLash ROle? Or Captain Cold?
Disagree with your spoiler speculation. I think it's more likely to beThey're not going to kill Supergirl or the Flash in any way in this version.
If any two die it will most likely be Green Arrow and the Tyler Hoechlin version of Superman
Is that a new suit for Black Lightning.Grant- I'm getting a picture with EVERYONE!

Certainly not.
No one in that production has the stones to actually do what the comic did in killing off major characters with a justifiable meaning. The problem with any so-called "epic" whether in film, TV or comics is when the stakes are supposed to be at their highest, yet everyone comes out clean, leaving deaths to the C-listers. As the brilliant, original COIE comic proved, this was not like other comics, where there was a get-together with no consequences, other than predictably, its back to business as usual. That's what the TV version needs, but it will never go there.
