Spoilers Arrow - Season 4

That not only crossed my mind but I was also imagining Felicity going to work when the
missiles launched
in X-Men Apocalypse. Then I thought, "Jesus, I need to quit watching so much TV".

I thought you were going to say that you expected Darhk to do down in a blaze of glory riding one of the nukes and laughing maniacally.

you sir are evil, very evil :)
The season finales for Flash S2 and Arrow S4 debuted here in the UK this week (tonight its the turn of Legends of Tomorrow S1) and realising there were these two huge villain's capers going on simultaneously and how it was explained in The Flash how important Earth 1 was and over in Arrow there were 15,000 ICBMs flying around and taking a very long time to reach their targets may I add, I just saw the possibilities. Its too bad they already used 'We'll Meet Again' on Legends of Tomorrow it would have been appropo in my scenario.
You can just picture Zoom, taking off his mask and shouting maniacally how he's done it and there's only one Earth left, and then come the sirens followed by the mushroom clouds . And then Dame Vera Lynn.

I like it!

Alternately, Oliver and company are panicking, Felicity can't hack in, 15,000 nukes are about to strike and then suddenly we see a montage of blue flashes. Felicity announces that the nukes are crashing harmlessly into the ground, Zoom vibrates in front of Damian Dahrk. He punches him through the chest, turns to Oliver and Tony Todd's "You're welcome... Oliver...." then speeds off.

Just as an easter egg on The Flash they should have had a missile fly over in a background shot while Barry was stopping the device from destroying the multiverses.

I can understand people being miffed about Arrow losing the Suicide Squad because of the movie. At the same time though, Arrow has been pirating characters from other IPs in the DCU to make stories for their show.

League of Shadows, Nyssa Al Ghul, Ra's Al Ghul, and Lazarus Pits are all from Batman.

HIVE, Damian Darhk, Brother Blood, and Slade Wilson are all from Teen Titans.

Suicide Squad, Deadshot, Amanda Waller, ARGUS etc, never interact with Oliver Queen in the comics.

I'm sure there are more than enough things for Arrow to mine to keep their show afloat. Watch, next season they'll probably introduce some variant of the Crime Syndicate, Checkmate or the Seven Soldiers of Victory.

Good listing.Firefly, Anarky, and Dollmaker were other Batman villains. And I guess you could throw in Huntress, though she was made a villain for the show, whereas KGBeast was turned into a good guy. I could also throw in Solomon Grundy (Green Lantern) and Brutale (Nightwing). Professor Ivo, Murmur, Captain Boomerang, Bug-Eyed-Bandit, Deathbolt, Double Down, Baron Reiter, Brother I, and Royal Flush Gang were also used.

It just goes to show you how poorly Arrow has used Green Arrow's own stable of villains. It's like they have no faith in them, especially not enough to develop them into major threats outside of Malcolm Merlyn. But so far the show has run through: Clock King, Count Vertigo, China White, Shado, Eddie Fyers, Constantine Drakon, Brick, Komodo, Cupid, and Isabel Rochev. Granted they could bring some back, but still looking over the wreckage there was a lot of potential to make many of these villains season long villains or major threats. Now they've ran through so many, I wonder if Arrow is going to be struggling for villains?

Do you think either version was one that the show could've spent more time developing into a season-long or even half-season long threat? And that sucks too, because Peter Stromare has the chops to be a good season-long villain.

With the news of the Season 5 villain could Arrow be conceding defeat and just make up their own villain, or is this a misdirection and we might see someone like Black Mask show up next season?

I wouldn't mind seeing Kobra, Lady Shiva, Cheshire, Lady Vic, Prometheus, or Wrath on the show at some point. And an adaptation of Jeff Lemire's Outsiders War could be a way to shake things up outside of the standard city in danger story.
