Arrow - Season 3

To other Wookie, Chewbakka looks like Jason Alexander.

To an Ewok however he looks like Marshawn Lynch on stilts.

Why couldn't Chewbacca live on Endor? Don't they have immigration in the Star Wars universe? Is there a shortage of hyperspace moving vans?

IIRC, the Ewoks in ROTJ were originally planned to be Wookiees, weren't they?

Forest moon of Endor

And yet at times the moon itself is called Endor, indeed the second Ewok movie is subtitled The Battle For Endor.;)

Still one I have to wonder about Ray Palmer, if he leaves the show will he take Felicity with him or will she take over the company?

But what is Atom without his shrinking powers? It would've probably been better to make Brandon Routh into a different superhero, like a white Cyborg.
I don't like it either. They take the name Ray Palmer, they take "Atom" (or A.T.O.M., who cares?) plus the red and blue colors and voila! Budget Iron Man. WHAT THE HELL.

This isn't the first time I've been irritated by the producers. They could have called their main hero "Green Arrow" but that name was not cool enough. Next, they shamelessly steal from Batman mythology. Now the name "Atom" is deemed by them to be cool. Unfortunately his ability to shrink is not.

At least we will have Paul Rudd as Ant Man. Go Marvel!

Have any of you guys read any of the Arrow tie-in comics? I've been thinking about checking them out.

I was watching the promo for the next episode, and they show what looks like Ra's dipping his cut, bloody hand into the water we've seen him soaking in. I'm wondering if this is going to be him demonstrating the Lazarus Pool's powers.

It makes perfect sense. Arrow is a stand in for Batman because they can't put Batman on television and ATOM is a stand in for Blue Beetle.

Regarding the new Outsiders series though (yeah that's what I'm calling it), everyone seems to forget that we still haven't reached the end of the season on Arrow yet and there is every chance that Sarah was always meant to come back somehow. Yeah, everyone says that is not the case but Starbuck was never supposed to return either.

I've learned to never say never with these kinds of shows. Especially since evidence is building that we do have at least one Lazarus Pit in play now.

I think the rumors about the new show let a couple of plot points out of the bag. Sarah returning and Ronnie Raymond ceasing to be part of FIRESTORM.

Except it's just preliminary talk, not an actual series bible or pilot script. It could just mean that they're closer to making a deal with Garber than with Amell, or that they're interested in the possibility of bringing Lotz in somehow. Or maybe whoever passed the rumors along got confused or mixed up the names or something. It's too early to assume they have anything firmed up. A project can transform enormously from preliminary talks to actual production. Heck, we don't even know if there's going to be a series. All we know is that the idea's being talked about.

An episode or two after Sara died there was comment that they were keeping her body in the freezer, and I immediately wondered about the Lazarus pit. So now I'm wondering if there actually was some connection there. How, I don't know, but maybe Nyssa switched bodies and brought the frozen one home? But in that case, how come they didn't just ask the revived Sara who killed her? Or maybe dying and being revived like that ruins short term memory? Anyway, just speculating.

It's a convenient way they can bring the character back that's wholly within already established continuity on the comics side.

I'm really, really hoping Malcolm's actual goal in manipulating Thea and Oliver into killing Ra's is to gain access to the Lazarus pits, and bring back Rebecca and Tommy. It beats the convoluted "drug Thea to kill Sara to get Oliver to kill Ra's but fail so now I have to train him to kill Ra's" plan anyway.
