I completely forgot about all of that.
Oliver's inner circle continues to grow. Now Thea knows his secret, and she took it particularly well. I remember when Moira figured it out, and she was cool with it.
Finally, Laurel had the guts to tell Detective Lance what happened to Sara. That was rather sad to watch, but he deserved to know, and Laurel couldn't possibly keep it a secret forever. It's going to be even more painful when the Lances learn that Thea was responsible for Sara's death, though unintentionally.

Two secrets revealed for the price of one! Now the only outstanding secret among the main cast is "Oh, by the way, Thea, your dad brainwashed you to kill Sarah." And I think Thea and Quentin are the only ones out of the loop on that, so they're still the designated outsiders even after their respective reveals.
(Not sure if Felicity is keeping Ray's A.T.O.M.-ic ambitions secret from Team Arrow or not. Maybe it just hasn't come up.)
Now that Thea's in the loop, I want a Thea-Felicity scene. I don't think they've interacted much. Although if anyone was going to reveal to her the whole extent of the awful thing Malcolm did to her, it might be Felicity, given how much she really, really doesn't like Malcolm.
I didn't notice this until io9's review pointed it out, but they've just pulled off an inversion: Now Oliver's present-day story is set on the island and his flashback story is set in Starling City! Although I wonder how they'll manage having flashback Ollie in Starling without interacting with anyone he knows.
(Not sure if Felicity is keeping Ray's A.T.O.M.-ic ambitions secret from Team Arrow or not. Maybe it just hasn't come up.)

So glad the Thea knows about Ollie, but I found it a little weird that she turned on her father soon quick. It'll definitely be interesting to see what she does when she finds out that he made her kill Sara.

I liked the fact that they actually had them getting pissed at Ollie when he was having a fit about Laurel, and I was happy he worked all that out by the end.
I'm sooo glad Laurel finally told her dad about Sara.

While it comes off a little bit of inconsistent characterization (the one consistent character trait she has), I get the impression the backlash is because she senses that Malcolm is manipulating her and she's not wrong about that. Seeing that Ollie is the Arrow was the triggering moment to make a lot of things click.

As Thea said, what outraged her was Malcolm's attempt to drive a wedge between her and Oliver for his own ends. That's the one thing she couldn't forgive.
Thea's motivations have been so incredibly flip-floppy throughout this entire show that I'd only be disappointed instead of shocked if she, I dunno, falls under Slade Wilson's spell and turns on Oliver again. Because reasons. I'm with Alidar, it's the one consistent character trait she has.
That said I'm so glad she finally knows Oliver's secret - and that she took it so well! AND Laurel told her father about Sara?!
Speaking of Laurel I gave her character a lot of shit throughout last season (and season 1 for that matter) and was convinced she'd never live up to Sara. But to be honest? Laurel working to become [Black] Canary is really coming across well to me, and I'm actually looking forward to more of it. Minor thing, but I loved the little moment when Felicity speculated that Sara wore a mask to hide from her demons, but Laurel doesn't need to - and Canary never wears a mask in the comics. Seems unlikely she'll actually go maskless, but there's the option if they want to.

Yeah, I like that all the "if you do this, bad things will happen" stuff turned out to be bogus. It was almost thematic to do it in the same episode.
Yeah he is incredible. Its strange I remember not liking his character at all when the show first started but now he is one of my favorites.

There might have been a decision at some point that two British actors would have to pretend to be American, because the American Actress playing their daughter had a shite British accent if Black Canary hadn't been a yank through and through for the last 65 years.

i think the actor is great. When given good material, he delivers. My criticism of the character (i.e. how "dumb" he seems to be; far less of a detective than Joe West on Flash) is PURELY because of the writing.
I think it's also the how & why it happens....with Thea, she isn't finding out 2nd hand, but Ollie coming to her...and giving her the choice of how to react.
She can see why he did what he did. And because he CHOSE to share with her, she can forgive the "manipulation". It'll still be a rocky road, but considering what he used to be, and what they;ve both been through, she;s still gonna work it out.
On a separate note....the demise of the DJ seemed super quick. He seemed to embed himself in the series as someone being more important. (And seems weird that a talented DJ would be assassin fodder). A lot of real world nitpickiness worthy of Trek fans...but i'll just leave it at that (for anyone else to go after)
1. It's really not that hard to be a DJ if you are not drunk and stoned. It's probably harder for a sober DJ not to get bored and wander off.
2. The DJ probably had a real DJ crucified to a wall who explained what the new cool music the kids are into these days to him.
