Arrow - Season 3

Clearly the fight took place near of Vancouver. ;)

I wish they hadn't shown Ollie alive at the end. Build suspense a little longer - not only about his fate but also about the fate of Katana.

Using Flash backs, they could have kept using Amell for 6 episodes in the past while really showing us a world without an the Arrow as every one figured out how to survive his death (again).

(One of the (cover banner caption) phases after Superman died was called "A world without Superman".)

Remember when Anna Sheridan finally came back from Za'ha'dum only to run afoul of her husband mid coitus with some bone head nun?

I wonder if Ray's super sophisticated armour can be defeated by a cup of water?

Seriously, if you want to spend a billion dollars to make the city safer, you build more street lamps.

But then if he perfects cheap shrinking, or even free shrinking he could be selling mansions the size of matchboxes for people to live in. 5 million people could live comfortably in a 1/4 acre plot.

I thought this was by far the best episode of the season. Great to see how the supporting cast reacts to thinking Oliver is dead.

I am so, so happy there was no Lazarus Pit revival. When I read the Batman comics years ago it was exclusively used by Ra's al Ghul. Even than he only used when absolutely needed. My perception is in recent years is used often and for other characters.

I am still not convinced Merlyn used it. He probably just used meditation and/or some type of drugs to slow down his life functions to give the appearance of death. Plus as he admitted himself he has a lot of connections in Starling City. He payed off right people to fake his death certificate. If Ra's has a Pit on the show I would think its heavily guarded.

I really didn't like this episode, and it was all because of Felicity. I get why she was emotional, but she's acting like she hasn't been doing this for over two seasons. Its not particularly entertaining for me to watch someone act like an ass over a death the audience knew didn't happen. Honestly, she needs to either accept that death is a possibility and start doing her job, or actually quit and stop getting in Diggle/Roy/Ray Palmer's way.

As it is, in this episode she's just about the most annoying character the show has had this season, and possibly in its whole run. I've never been awed by Felicity like some people seem to be, but I've liked her well enough. This whole attitude, while understandable, made her unbelievably annoying this episode. Also, why didn't Diggle mention that its totally possibly that, by "saving" him and Roy, that she's sentenced dozens of innocent people to death or injury by the released violent criminals? She's really selfish, and has basically not grown as a character at all since she first joined up with Ollie. Maybe when he comes back she'll change and learn to accept the possibility of death in the vigilante business. Its going to get really tedious if her attitude from this episode becomes the norm for her.

Besides that, I liked seeing John Barrowman, and the reveal of who saved Ollie was interesting, even if the Hong Kong flashbacks are still really boring. Next week's episode looks interesting, so hopefully it will make up for the bulk of this episode being Felicity whining and generally being irritating.

COD should be exsanguination, multiple fractures, and hypothermia. ;) Bringing him back to life is one thing, but shouldn't his body, broken as it is, be repaired first?

Because of the cold he is not going to decompose.

They can seal the cuts.

Hell stick a hot sword through the original sword hole and you're cauterized his interal bleeding.

Once they fix his body with 12th century measures, all they need is some one magic to jump up and grab his floating off soul and stuff it back into his body.

Most witches learn that shit on their first day.

Oliver is more Black Knight than Green Arrow at this point. Slashed and stabbed multiple times, pierced through his lung, falls 500 feet down a chasm onto rock, lies shirtless in a blizzard for god knows how long, but it's just a flesh wound.

"Hey! What's-yer-name. Ollie? (Really? 'Ollie'?) Hey kid, what's so important? What you got here that's worth living for?"

"To blave...."

Can I borrow the keys to your helicopter?

I don't understand what makes Brick so unstoppable. You'd think he's the Juggernaut. Does he have rapid healing? He didn't take the Mirakuru, so what's his special ability?

So glad Ollies wound moved a foot further down.

I have been so disappointed with the fallout of Ollie's so called demise, they seem to be playing it like he was never dead, which is ridiculous. The guy somehow survived being stabbed, falling down quite some way, in the freezing cold for what 3 days? and he was saved by a women in a hutt with no major surgery. The only way to spin it is with a supernatural angle and they seem to be ignoring it like we are all stupid

Arrow is probably my 2nd favourite program on the television at the moment but this needs addressing by the writers.
