argh. Note to self: don't open ds9 boards

I'd be willing to bet a lot of people haven't seen DS9, yeah.

DS9?

What's that?? Hang on, I gotta go ask my Star Wars friends what that is, cuz there's nothing about this DS9 in my Jedi records.... *turns on 28.8k modem*

Maybe we should put **SPOILER ALERT!!!** at the end of every thread title. I would be willing to bet wissaboo isn't the only person in the world who hasn't seen DS9 before.

 but I'll have already read the thread title. Usually I just scope through the titles to see if there is a topic I think I can risk opening.

I'm about half way through season 6 so I look forward to opening threads with abandon soon.

I've never really understood the internet obsession with spoilers to begin with, as if revealing some plot point were the online equivalent of spitting in someone's face. It doesn't matter. Good stories hold up even when you know what happens.

I hope you're enjoying season 6. Things were definitely rocking that year. I never watched DS9 during its initial run. At the time, I lived in the sticks with no cable or satellite tv. None of the handful of channels our rooftop antenna picked up carried DS9. Like you, I did my first run through on dvd. I still remember that thrill of not knowing what was going to happen next. My subsequent run through's of DS9 haven't been any less enjoyable, just different. It's always special when you're discovering something as great as DS9 for the very first time.

it's like trek is still on tv. :D amazing how well the series has stood up. Doesn't look dated like tng does at all
