Are only ships allowed here?

My first Star Trek fanart which I'm satisfied.

No, this area is not restricted to just artwork of starships. Any Trek artwork is welcome (as long as it's family friendly!!). Indeed, I've seen a fair amount of non-Trek sci-fi art posted, too.

That's a great drawing you've posted. I can't imagine how much time that took you.

You know, Amarillo Design Bureau (the publishers of Star Fleet Battles) is always on the look out for good artists to supply filler clip-art. You might consider popping over to their web site and sending Steve and/or Jean an e-mail.

Disclaimer: I do not work for ADB and cannot speak for them.

Thank you for the kind words and advice!:adore:
To my sorrow, I'm an amateur in sketching, not friendly with color and digital drawing. (Maybe later when I improve my skills and collect a portfolio... just a dream...)
Will be nice to show my works here from time to time!

I'm not surprised that you're satisfied with your drawing, as it is a good likeness!

As @Sgt_G said, anything Star Trek goes, not just starships (although, they are a popular subject). If you haven't already done so, you might like to have a look through some of the monthly Art Challenge posts (conveniently listed in one place here), as there are plenty of non-ship pieces of art created for them. And if you're not comfortable with colour or digital stuff, there are plenty of other mediums to try out - For instance, I've created a few pieces using paper/cardboard cut-out figures, @Atolm (amongst others) has created physical models, @Admiral Archer has made papercraft sets, and others have made Lego models and put together AMT/Revel model kits.
I hope to see more of your work here on the board :)

If that's you in your "amateur" state, I can't wait to see what you can do after a few years of real practice.

Regarding color / digitial --- except for book cover art, ADB publishes in black-&-white. Typically, they print action / combat scenes ... afterall, the game is called Star Fleet Battles ... but they do sometime use more mundane scenes, such as the bridge crew at their stations or even someone sitting behind a desk. Mostly, they use small clipart, something to fill in a couple inches (few centimeters) of white space at the bottom of a page. But again, I can't speak for them.

Great job! I'm actually surprised you're only "satisfied" with it. I could instantly tell who the portrait depicted, you should be proud of your talent! I can only draw cartoon characters myself, my attempts at drawing portraits have always ended poorly.

Thank you! Challenges are awesome :)

Maybe I will take a try with ADB (I'm shying! :o). Anyway thanks for the information about this possibility.

Thank you!
I'm jealous to everyone who can draw cartoons

Wow, that's such a wonderful drawing. Like the others have already said, you've really captured his likeness. The shading is really well done too.

I hope you share more drawings in the future. You clearly have a lot of talent.
