Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

I for one was upset they didn't put it out in "full screen" damn them.

But on a side note.. I've used my BD player on my old tube SDTV. Works fine, you just won't see it in HD of course.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Damn those bastard companies for not continuing to make games for my Commadore 64! They will never see one red cent from me ever again!

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

I want my movies on BetaMax like God intended!

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Screw you all! I want to buy my movies on 16mm film! Your Gods can get in line behind mine!

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Nah, 16mm is a dead format. Better to stick to 35mm. :p

In regards to the OP, in a certain sense, you really don't matter to Warner Bros. or any of the major studios. Warner Bros. has been scaling back the features available on DVD releases of their films since at least late 2009, when the Director's Cut of Terminator: Salvation was made a Blu-Ray exclusive. The other studios have been doing the same. They seem to think that most people who care about features and other details like extended cuts have already adopted the Blu-Ray format, and from my experience, they're right.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

My Top Gun VHS doesn't have the Tony Scott audio commentary track. Screw Paramount too!!!!!!

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

^^^^
I can't believe you just brought out the holy grail of the Tony Scott commentary!!!!
I've tried to block that, the pain....SCREW YOU PARAMOUNT!

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

I want PIP Commentary on cave paintings.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

There are those of us out there who simply cannot afford a BlueRay player at the moment. I know it's hard to believe, but I make barely enough to pay rent and feed myself week in and week out (and I eat light, believe me, lol).

And when I made the thread title, I didn't literally mean Warner Bros. doesnt care about me in particular, I meant all the people who have not yet adopted Blue Ray players.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

No offense, but if you can barely afford to feed yourself, you shouldn't be buying movies at all, Blu-Ray or not.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

I don't actually buy movies anymore, I do all my movie watching via Netflix. But this would have been one of the exceptions, had they released the extended cut on DVD.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

So you don't buy any of their other products.....yet you expect the companies to cater to your needs?

Wait, so you barely have enough to feed yourself but you can afford to pay for Netflix? That $8 a month can buy a few more meals, you know.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Well, unlike the conversion from vhs to dvd, at least blueray players can play the older media. I don't feel compelled to updating my entire library.

Yep. The only movies I've bothered upgrading are the ones I really like.

Same here.
I rebought the Terminator and Predator films along with Independence Day, Last of the Mohicans and Stargate. Will update V for Vendetta at some point as well.

I'll still choose to buy a standard DVD though for most films, especially if it's a comedy or TV series.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Just wait until they start rolling this out in the next couple of years.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Aldo, you tool! You're still a tool.

The national budget is in the toilet. Japan got hit by another 7.1 earthquake, generating another tsunami warning last Saturday. Towns in Alabama are still recovering from extensive tornado damage. A former US Marine who lost his legs in combat was on a roller coaster in New York and was thrown from his seat only to plummet to his death in mid-transit. Jaycee Dugard was held in captivity for 18 years, the first three of which she didn't have a sink or a toilet.

Who the fuck cares if you don't matter to Warner Bros?

You want to bitch about something? Bitch about something that matters.

Or, man up, save up and drop the cash to get a Blu-Ray player.

Thread: done. Next!

Says the guy that wastes time on a Star Trek message board, and yes, also by bitching about stuff.

I've put off upgrading to Blu-Ray in anticipation of the standard that follows it (I'm hoping for HVD, given the unlikelihood of internet bandwidth sufficient to compare with it).

Blu-Ray certainly looks much nicer than DVD, but it's not sufficiently better to justify an intermediate upgrade - for me, anyway.
