This came out a couple years ago, but I only got around to watching it tonight. I wish I'd watched it earlier, though, because it's absolutely brilliant. It's about a 17 year-old from Montreal who believes he's the reincarnation of Leon Trotsky, and who begins to fulfill his destiny by trying to lead a revolution to unionize his high school. I know it sounds ridiculous (because it kind of is), but the premise works really, really well.
The movie is hilarious, but also has quite a bit of heart. Not to mention it's extremely clever. My knowledge of Soviet history is pretty much limited to a second-year history of the USSR class I took, but I know enough to say that they drew well from historical events. It's not exactly a well-known movie, even here in Canada, but I think it's really excellent and worth watching, so if you're at all interested, I recommend checking it out.
