Preferably Colorado Springs?
I have wanted to move out of the humid, hot, sandbar with delusions of grandeur that is the state of Florida for years. Tired of the heat, tired of the traffic, tired of the lack of seasons.
I have visited Colorado and in particular Colorado Springs a few times and I like the area. Civilized, but with easy access to the mountains that are oh so lacking in FL.
I want a view of Pikes Peak to stare at. I want it to be cold on Christmas and not have to run the AC year round.
So, soon I will be coming into a small sum of money that will allow me to make the transition. My problem is this: how do you get a place to stay while looking for a job? Rentals always want proof of employment regardless of how much cash you flash. Maybe there are some decent short term (monthly) rentals?
Also, how is the job market out there for IT, particularly System Admins?
