Anyone else annoyed that there are no TOS Klingons in SNW yet?

If they do modernized TOS Klingons, I hope their little vest is bulkier like kevlar armor, or like layered armor plates like the Roman armor.
And purple.

The sash is definitely TOS. Plus the little buttons at the top.
It has nods to the TMP/TNG take. But the gold color and wavy lines are lifts from the tunics seen in TOS. Plus the classic sash. The high boots look to be a nod as well. Could have used some sparkle on the pants, though.

Well, the TMP vests were ALREADY an "armorized" nod to the TOS uniform. So sure, if SNW tries to do a "bulked up" version of that original outfit they are, reasonably, going to end up in the same neighborhood.
Like how even the "new" Klingon takes in Into Darkness and Disco both springboarded off of the TMP makeup.

I love that the SNW Klingon belt buckles are the same as the TOS ones.
Yeah, the shoulder pads are the only part I'd eliminate. Other than that, it's a really nice take on 1967-69 costumes.
It'd be a convoluted plot that has caused its own issues over decades but it could all be wrapped up in a neat little bow.
Augment virus dissolved cranial ridges, failed attempt to restore them resulted in the Discovery Klingons which look similar to the proto-Klingons, refined research under L'Rrell has got them back to normal and then I guess the augment virus mutates and fights back rendering them back to smooth heads until finally before TMP the cure is perfected and we're where we need to be.
This would however require another Klingons turn smooth episode which would take work to not just be a retread.
Unless we try and do the mental gymnastics to accept the coincidence that we only see the certain Klingons affected or unaffected as the case is in SNW. But then does anyone really question why every Romulan in TNG and DS9 is a northerner?

I’m fine with Klingons as they are in SNW. I’m even more fine with ignoring that two parter of Enterprise.
We just go with it. If we can accept warp drive, we can accept this.
Picard showed Romulan northerners and southerners together.
