Any Xena:WP fans on the boards?

Fans of Joe LoDuca may want to know he's re-releasing all 7 volumes of his Xena:Warrior Princess soundtracks on 12/4... just in time for St Nicolas' day. :bolian:

Here's one guy's attempt to provide a shorter "must see" list of X:WP eps.

http://www.denofgeek.us/tv/xena-warrior-princess/249513/xena-warrior-princess-an-episode-road-map

Its a good try although I wonder why he's left off season 1's "Is there a doctor in the House", season 4's "Crusader" and/or "Convert" and season 6's "When Fates Collide" in his "route 1".

If it was just for brevity's sake, I would then wonder why he skipped season 3's Warrior, Princess... Tramp" for the lesser "The Quill is Mightier" and why throw in "Lyre lyre" while ignoring the comedy "Amphipolis Under Siege" or the melodrama "Antony & Cleopatra".

I think my "abbreviated" list wouldn't "be" abbreviated enough to do the project justice. ;)

The new showrunner/writer on the rebooted X:WP comments on the new show.

"There were a lot of action-adventure shows in first-run syndication in the mid-'90s, but the ones that endure are the ones whose characters truly spoke to the audience."
Intriguingly, he added, "If we don't get that central relationship right, and evolve it to where it can go in our modern televisual landscape, then we are sunk. And I don't want to be sunk."

Speaking of potential guest stars... I know of at least one who in the last 10 years was successfully integrated into 3 ongoing TV shows and proved so popular on a fourth that that TPTB brought her back from the dead for another season!

AND she can sing "Its only a Paper Moon". :bolian:

Where have you been? :p

Oh right, in a cabin deep in the Michigan woods. ;)

Remember, when it comes to TV pilots, many are called, but few are chosen.

Its closer to reality than 12 months ago, but its still just speculation if it will make it to our screens. :vulcan:

Remember the 2011Wonder Woman TV show that "wasn't".

NBC weaseled out of WW at the last minute. :wtf:

NBC is the network that the nu-XWP is supposed to be on.

Meanwhile, Jeff Mariotte just reported on-line that he's finished the first draft of the new novel.

Would I be correct to assume the novels are placed within the context of the original series, Greg, and not the reboot?

I never watched it myself, but pretty much everything I heard about the WW pilot was that it was horrible, so I wouldn't totally hold it against them. If she wasn't on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I could actually see Adrianne Palicki as a good new Xena.

Apparently there's talk of spinning her off into her own show. Nice to see she landed on her feet after the WW thing . ...
