Any Xena:WP fans on the boards?

Interesting read. I still have concerns for the new series but I'm feeling a little less negative about it. More curious than anything.
 
My top picks there would be Jaime Alexander and Kate Beckinsale. I would love to see Jaime Alexander especially, but that's pretty doubtful since she's the lead in Blindspot, and it's already been renewed. Beckinsale would definitely be a very close second for me.
Arterton could probably be good to, and even though I am a huge fan of Eliza Dushku and loved Echo and Faith there's just something about something about the idea of her playing Xena that just seems wrong to me.

Little bit of a Xena thing I noticed, but for anyone who still gets DVDs of tV shows (like I do), Universal is finally rereleasing Xena: Season 6 on DVD. They released Season 1-5 in slim packaging over the last few years (no special features like the old big DVD sets, but all the episodes for a good price) but the last one they released was Season 5 in 2014. Now, Season 6 has shown up on Amazon for pre-order, with an apparent release date of May, 2016. Since (last time I checked) the old big box set of Season 6 was going for around $48-99 on Amazon depending on when I checked it, its cool that there will finally be a Season 6 set back in print, and for under $20.

Not much of a news thing, but as someone who still prefers to get stuff on DVD, it was cool to see.
 
I saw that too.

Last year I was freaking out from not hearing anything about season 5 so I bought the bulky season 5 and 6 sets. I didn't pay those ridiculous prices though.

It's nice that the seasons are finally all available again.

I not only bought the big ol' DVD box sets when they first came out, I had already bought seasons 1-3 on VHS! I think they were something like $175 per season? OY VEY!!
