Any Xena:WP fans on the boards?

Don't be shocked if you figure out that three different horses "portray" Argo... as the different horses had different skills necessary for filming. They actually had to "dye" one to get the correct shade.

(The white one ^^ in the scene with Xena wearing flowing robes is NOT Argo.)

FYI: the new issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY (with "Jon Snow" on the cover) has a retrospective on XENA . . ..

Sorry, by aiming I meant which season are they hoping it will air during if it's picked up.

^ Aiming for what?

The upcoming reboot TV series that's in development.

As far as I know, they're still working on the script for the pilot and haven't even started casting yet, so I'm not sure what sort of ETA we're looking at here, assuming the new show gets picked up at all.

I'm crossing my fingers, though.

I was visiting a XWP site and came across a "where are they now" page.

Strangely enough, it did NOT include Craig Parker who played 3 different roles (sometimes the good guy, sometimes the villain) in XWP and went on to be a bad guy in Legend of the Seeker (Darken Rahl) and a really bad guy in Spartacus (Claudius Glaber) and Lord Narcisse (with a name like that, I'm betting another bad guy) in Reign.

We all should know where Karl Urban ended up after his turn on XWP (His next movie is coming out this summer), but did you know Danielle Cormack too played on Legend of the Seeker (Shota drove me crazy till I realized who her actress was) and like Mulgrew, she's ended up in "jail" playing Bea Smith in "Wentworth Prison".

The link did point out that Charles Mesure played Blackbeard in "Once Upon a Time" (I did recognize him there and when he played Kyle on "V"). BUT I certainly did not recognize Rose McGiver when she played Tinkerbell on OUaT and even if I watched "I Zombi" I'm sure I wouldn't have recognized the "brains eating Doctor turned Zombi detective" as the Auckland actress who was my 3rd fav body snatcher Xena after Callisto and Autolycus.

Yes, we are talking about Daphne, from season 5's "Little Problems". :bolian:

Oh, and not to leave directors/producers out of this list, but I perk up every time I see John Fawcett's name in the Orphan Black's credits since he directed several of my fav Xena WPs, chief among them is "When Fates Collide". Liz Friedman also went from writing/producing on Xena, to writing / producing several seasons of "House" , "Elementary" and the 1st season of "Jessica Jones."

Liz is responsible for one of my fav quotes about the Warrior Princess.

Paraphrased... " Hercules is the hero we all hope is "out there", somewhere.... whereas Xena is the hero we all hope is inside US... somewhere."

Here's an interview with Renee and "the road to Xena".

It IS fun,,, and better safe than sorry when it comes to posting these ladies. I loved it when Lucy asked the crowd "Who's from Texas" and Renee raised her hand.

Here's someone's idea of a trailer, without any bards in sight.

It's been a while, so I watched a few of the Callisto episodes in a row over the last couple of days. my god, Hudson was wonderful! She was clearly having an absolute blast playing gleeful evil. I watched A Necessary Evil yesterday - "Here comes trouble!"

The thing about Hudson... she not only played "evil" gleefully...

...she channeled Xena to the "T" for two episodes in season 2. I loved how she tended Argo in "Intimate Stranger" and convinced Joxer who she really was... and who she was not.

Callisto was great, easily the best villain on the show. Too bad she was defeated/written off in just about the worst way possible. I'd rank her final fate as a Top 5 worst endings to a villain's story that I've seen. I wish she just hadn't appeared again after Sacrifice Part II, that would have been a great way for her to leave.

Still, almost all of her appearances on the first 3 seasons of Xena (and her Hercules appearances) were epic, and Leick always did a great job (both as Callisto and in those Xena in Callisto's body appearances).
