Maybe I could find it, but even so, it was a Croatian forum so you probably wouldn't understand a thing (that remembered quote was actually my translation of it).
Oh okay, then you don't have to search for it of course! XD
I mean, I am heterosexual in the sense that I've never been in the least interested in sex or romance with women, but I can find a person attractive or unattractive whatever their gender. And let's say, if for some reason I had to choose to sleep either with a gorgeous, hot, charismatic woman, or with a guy that I found really unattractive and unlikeable - the choice is pretty obvious, isn't it?
(Although, well, it would also depend on what exactly you do in bed - some things would be acceptable but others I definitely don't find appealing, if you know what I mean! Which is probably a similar attitude of that of some of the hetero guys in gay relationships in prison - this is OK, but this I won't do...)
Agreed! Kudos for the actress of Claire, it was definitely not flattering for her. I always wonder how the the actors who are there to literally "disgust" the people do it! And by that, I mean more the looks than the behavior (which is of course the whole sense of acting, but being judged by the audience because of one's looks...?). It would feel strange if I was f.e. the guy who... let's say played Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter + the Mad Beetle in Sweeney Todd, practically being cast partly because of the looks!
Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't ever rape anyone if I were male!

I'm always very overcautious, even scared of accidentaly hurting others during training and sport lessons. xD But I mean IF I were like Vern and Adebisi and all the bad tough guys in there who don't have any morals, I would probably also "prefer" some of the pretty boys. I mean, I can see the appeal (more or less; being in prison for maybe the rest of your life etc), although it's of course hard to say how I would think and act in their stead, I wouldn't be me anyway then. XD I wouldn't pay anyone for sex, either, but I can kinda understand why others would... while there are a lot of things in Oz which I would never ever consider wanting to do, like sleeping with Howell and most of the brutal acts (gouging someone's eyes out, crucifying etc.)
It's been a crazy week! Lots to catch up on.

I did watch the deleted scenes for season six. The ones that stick out...
One with Beecher where he goes to Sister Pete to tell her he got Keller off death row. He's all happy and Sister Pete reminds him that Keller is still guilty. Beecher gets all huffy and says that instead of being executed, Keller will die a long, slow death in Oz. Then he storms out.
There's a scene with Peter Schibetta where he's rehearsing for MacBeth. Ryan comes in and gets pissed off to see him there and tells Suzanne she needs to stay away from him.
In one Omar goes to Beecher to try to get him to kill Itzik and Beecher is like, no, that's not what Said would want.
Welcome back
I've seen the first scene, it was interesting and cute, like the other deleted neck-kiss B/K scene.
I would've loved to actually see him rehearse (we've seen all others speak a few lines of the play)! Too bad it was deleted.
Sounds interesting too, i would've been better for Omar if someone had done it =( But the fans of Said were of course trying to be peaceful.
Yeah, but none of them were whiny about it! OK, Beecher could get kind of whiny, but more in an "I want to do good" way. Beecher always seemed to feel bad for his family rather than himself. And while he might have some blood on his hands, I think in some ways he was the most "innocent" guy in Oz... he really only lashed out to defend himself, or in one case, revenge for the murder of his kid (which he tried to take back). Alvarez blinded Rivera out of cowardice and an unwillingness to stand up to someone. And then he was always whining about how bad he felt for himself. He did get more tolerable towards the end of the show, but he'll never really be one of my favs.
Hmh, true, Miguel was probably the one main chara who pitied himself the most. But I guess that's okay, everyone has different favs! Alvarez only stood up to himself later, shanking one of his enemies in self-defense and even letting Chico shank him. Under pressure, most inmates react badly though, the guy who destroyed the statue was pretty much the most harm- and helpless and shot a few inmates to death! I agree that Beecher was one of the more "innocent" and "good" people but if you look at his deeds alone he almost blinded Vern, took a dump on his face, killed a CO, maybe shanked Chris, was partly responsible for Andrew's and Ronnie's death, ordered a hit on Hank, selled Gunzel out, shanked Vern, killed Vern, "killed" Keller... did I forget something? Although most of his actions were justified, they sound pretty bad without context and IMO it's similar with Miguel. He was really messed up and not as "good" a person as Beecher, but I never got the impression he ever did anything out of pure evilness, he tried to survive without getting involved mostly (Ryan on the contrary survived by causing the deaths of so many inmates).
I think he would have gotten out if he hadn't blinded Rivera. That act was pretty horrifying, and would probably set anyone against him who was considering clemency.
Well, Alvarez knew he was going to be in for a while, and Torquemada was pretty much throwing himself at him. Torquemada said he was a virgin, too, so who knows if they were even going to have sex.
Yeah, pity! But who knows if he would even still be alive if he hadn't done it. Oz sure is horrible for you if you are disrepected by the other inmates...
I think they did, it's pretty official from what I've read and it was already heavily implied... especially in the last scene, when the camera moves away while Torquemada touches his chest. Even if they didn't have sex then, they were most likely going to eventually. While Miguel resisted first, he was too tired to care then, I think he traded his remaining pride of not giving in to Torquemada for the D-tabs and maybe some company ... and at the same time actually the first inmate who seemed to give a shit about him, in whatever creepy/obsessive way (except for the guy who got killed trying to prove himself to Miguel =/ )
NP, loved to read the interviews myself! Dean and Lee sure seem smart, though Lee sounds a lot friendlier and pleasant IMHO!
The guy who played Peter was one of only two male characters who actually got raped on screen... the other one being Robson. Even with Beecher, what we saw was him getting the brand, not actually getting raped. So I imagine that was tough to play for those two guys. I wouldn't think a rape scene would be easy for anyone to play, male or female.
There was also a short rape between two random inmates too, but that's it.
Yeah, even if I was an actor that's one line I would have to think about crossing, I'm not sure i I were able to actually act a rape out even if I had the talent... It's something really sensible, you probably don't even want to go there mentally.
I guess the guy who played Robson was able to prove himself (as an actor) in his storyline, so in a way he took benefit from it (he was planned as an unimportant role, just like Adebisi). I wonder if the two of them knew what was coming to them, seems like they only got the script of the following week etc.? Somehow, his scene with Cutler seemed a bit less worse to me, because he had submitted, it wasn't as "explicit" and it wasn't as sudden, the other one totally came as surprise and must've been way more painful °_°
The idea of the actors of Adebisi and Schibetta doing the scene and then being (hopefully

) friendly to each other again immediately before / afterwards seems so bizarre to me! Even when you know it's just acting, it must be so uncomfortable to having a guy like Adebisi yanking you around, even pulling your pants down and... well
Both Beech and Beechball sound cute

somehow it's really one's enemies who come up with the best nicks in Oz...
Bushmalis made it look too easy.

I'm sure he did feel betrayed, which is kind of ironic after he told Beecher he owed him his life for saving him from death row. I think he realized he was going to lose Beecher in the long run, and he couldn't live with that. He probably figured Beecher would eventually forgive him. I wonder if he would have--what do you think? Do you think Beecher would have come around eventually?
Keller was a sociopath, and they have a hard time with the concept of right and wrong. Which isn't to excuse Keller completely, but I do think some of the stuff Beecher said to him at the end of the episode was cruel. After years of being with Keller, he knew what Keller was capable of. And Beecher more or less accepted Keller's sociopathic behavior up to that point--he didn't turn Keller in for murdering the guys he slept with, he basically gave him the info that caused him to murder Ronnie, he let Keller take the blame for murdering Hank, and he got Keller off death row knowing he was guilty. It wasn't exactly fair of Beecher to turn around and be so surprised by the betrayal when he knew exactly what Keller was capable of, and had even benefitted from that in the past.
Yeah xD , but after the first tunnel the idea seemed pretty stupid to me. How he was able to dig a tunnel undetected again and again with only tools like spoons and limited time... In real, escape would be reaaally unlikely I guess.
I think (hope?) Beecher would've eventually come around. Keller would've done anything to win him back just like before and with Keller... that means really extreme acts, killing all the enemies being only the first step. There would've been a lot of drama and problems, but I think their love was too strong to just ignore it and even though it would take a long time for Beecher to forgive or ever trust him again, they wouldn't have kept being apart. And you?
If you turn it like that, Keller's acts (no matter how heinous) really do sound logical and Beecher's words harsh. It was pretty easy and the obvious choice to push the fault to Chris who was the doer, but in a way provoced by the circumstances and Beecher's insensitive words. =/
I tend to think Beecher would have given in eventually, that Keller could have won him back and that Beecher wouldn't have actually testified against him.
That's the optimal situation
