Animated Marvel movies???

Whats next??? I havent heard a thing I hope they get away from the Kid type Movies (Avengers next/Thor..)...

Hoping for photorealistic (Polar Express, Beowulf, Tintin, etc) style CGI animation for an Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, or Guardians of the Galaxy type movie.

Same goes for DC's Kingdom Come, but with an Alex Ross touch.

Jeph Loeb is in charge of Marvel's Animation/Live Action Television division, whatever they're calling it so who knows what they've got planned. I assume the recent Thor animated film was the Asgard Kid thingy? They're really behind the DC DTV's in this regard. The only decent one that they put out was the Planet Hulk DVD.

Marvel had a contract with Lionsgate to make eight animated DTV movies. Thor: Tales of Asgard was the last one and Marvel didn't sign an extension of that contract. Now that the Lionsgate deal has run its course, Marvel will likely gear up a new run of animated DTVs under Disney's auspices.
