Andy murray not talking to the BBC?

^Most English fans I know, until a few years ago, would support the other members of the Union and even the Republic of Ireland if it didn't affect England. That is not true anymore.

I personally choose not to support any of them. I don't hate them, I just don't place them above other nations.

I'm English and I don't even support England. Every time England get anywhere in football it suddenly takes half an hour to get a drink at the pub for the duration of the tournament, and the streets and pubs fill up with sweaty drunk neanderthals, grunting and shouting and singing ridiculous songs.

So I always root for us to go out in the group stages, or better still, in the qualifying rounds.

*Looks for that Noose* :p

If English sport fans are ever in the dark as to why people from the celtic nations get fucking irritated with them, try observing a chorus of "two world wars and one world cup" and put yourself into the mind of an outsider.

^You think England shouldn't be proud of having won the World Cup ?

Well, personally I find it difficult to be proud of achievements that I had absolutely no personal part in, but that's just me.

But no, that wasn't my point.

^Don't try to make out that it was English fans who picked this fight. Scottish fans are like Tottenham supporters. They have no measuring stick other than the team they hate. They have no goals of their own, just to out do the "enemy".

 Taking things a wee bit seriously, aren't you? Both sides are filled with legions of arseholes. Try rising above it.

And, your apparent insistence that English fans are innocent victims in this "fight" simply has no basis in reality.

Listen to yourself. Seriously.

Calm down dear, it's only a game.

Listen to yourself. Seriously.

Try listening to yourself. I speak from the perspective of someone who actually goes to games and sees how opposition supporters behave. Most away supporters are fine, we have a bit of back and forth banter but it's not meant in a nasty way.

As I said, Scottish fans remind me the most of Tottenham supporters with a little bit of Liverpool's "Thou shalt not criticise us" mixed in.

What I said is true, Scottish fans have no goals for their team beyond doing better than England just like Tottenham fans have no goals for theirs beyond doing better than Arsenal.

I realise that, it's a shame Scotland supporters can't treat it as such.

I have my own issues with England "supporters", specifically the ones who don't fill their Club Wembley seats for an England game because they've pissed off to Paris to watch the Rugby instead. Watching the start of the second half of an England international with banks of empty seats because the "fans" are all still finishing their drinks is an embarrassment.

You're beginning to sound Scotophobic.

Yes, indeed. Exactly what I meant by "thou shalt not criticise us".

I have maintained throughout that idiocy is not a commidity either side can claim exclusivity to.

And I have maintained that it is not nearly as irrational for England fans. England are too busy having rivalries with people who can actually say they're as good or better than them - like the Germans or the Argentinians.

I think you are blinkered by your Englishness Hermiod. If you think the English aren't every bit as asininely chauvinistic as the Celtic nations you are not looking with objective eyes.

If you can't see how much of a hypocrite that comment makes you, then I'm done with this retarded conversation.
