The film you mentioned was released as a Netflix exclusive last year and received negative reviews. It's still on Netflix. When Netflix decides to make a show, there are clauses regarding returning the broadcasting rights to the production company after a certain period of time following cancellation or completion, but they usually prefer to extend it when the contract expires.

Train Dreams is a brilliant movie. It's a quiet movie that is more about the atmosphere, but at the same time it says a lot and is very evocative.

In short, everything seems fine… It appears all the old shows are in a position to be renewed. 9-1-1: Nashville also seems to be getting renewed.


* Grey’s Anatomy appears to be returning with fewer episodes due to budget cuts. Less than 18 episodes.

9-1-1 and The Rookie also seem to be facing similar budget cuts.

* Scrubs and RJ Decker haven't even started yet, so they'll be assessing the situation there.

It seems like none of ABC's shows will be canceled for now. But I wanted to mention the budget cuts and reduced episode numbers because it caught my attention.

The only one I'm interested in returning is Abbott Elementary and I imagine its budget is much lower than most of those others.

What's scary is Sean Murray who plays McGee is now almost the same age as Mark Harmon was when NCIS first started airing.

I'm sure Ice T is on his way out or working so limited to keep his cost down. Didn't they cut Tamin & Barnes a few years back for the same reason?
