Indeed, they must. But Amazon is not informing them.
Then it's time that they will be informed. But they have the bad habit of not replying to messages and mails.
With all due respect, and not knowing you from the one armed man, I think you might benefit from some professional help. If Star Trek is the only thing getting you through and a lack of inspiration then I would be concerned from a mental health standpoint. Star Trek is nice, I don't have the obsessive nature over it as you do. If it disappeared I would still have Star Wars, Stargate, NCIS, JAG, Lord of the Rings, tabletop gaming, personal research on mythology, building a house in my spare time, researching space travel, not to include writing fan fiction. Star Trek was a big part of my early years, but it wasn't the only thing.
That wasn't a particularily nice thing to state.
In normal cases, I would have reacted with a very nasty reply. But since we have had a rather cordial discussion here in this thread, I will let it go-for this time.
You have totally misunderstood me if you think that Star Trek is the "only thing getting me through". I do have a lot of other interests, like many of those you mention as your own interests above. I could add sports, in which most of all support a local theam, music, travel, reading good books, dabbling in some local politics too even if I despise all kind of "ideologies".
In fact, I have so much to do that I find ut hard to find time for some writing, a problem which I have to sort out. So Star Trek isn't my one and only interest, even if I must admit that it is a nice way to relax after a day in the Gray Universe with all its troubles. I can also assure you that my watching of Star Trek episodes is limited to one or two episodes a week, mostly on Friday evenings when I have time for it.
But I don't like to be cheated and I don't like when dishonest people's actions take something away from me which I like, no matter if it is Star Trek, devastating of a place in the nature where I like to be or cuts in the train traffic to and from the town where I live which causes problems for the population. Most of all I hate when dishonest people cheat me.
When things like that happen, then I'll fight!
I guess it also might have something to do with having to move away from my home town as a kid, due to bad politics in a far away capital. I depised those who just accepted it and promised to return when I was old enough to take care of myself. Which I did!
It's a principle for me to not back down, especially not to thiefs, swindlers, political scumbags who think they are better than the common people and dishonest people.
Well, that's because I use streaming and VHS.
I have had some bad experiences with streaming and I don't like to pay a monthly sum for a service which gives me one series I really like to watch while the rest is crap and then they stop airing the series I watch in the midle of it and suggests that I shoud watch a show I hate instead. Not to mention bandwith problems and having to drag cables all over the house and still don't get a good picture.
As for VHS, I really regret that I didn't tape all Star Trek series. I have a lot of tapes from all series but they are not complete, especially not DS9 since the local channel who did air it in 1997 stopped airing it after one season.
