Am I the Only One Who Desperately Craves a Captain Shaw Series?

Well, you'd just be joining the crowd who 'desperately' wants a new show with ______ (you fill in the blank with some character du jour.)
I'm in the I just want a new show to be confirmed so I can relax about the near term future of Trek crowd.

I don't really think any of these characters need to have more stories after this series, except maybe for Jack Crusher in the future if his arc doesn't suck. I want another serial Trek that is on the level of this to air alongside SNW.

If there is to be a new series, I imagine that its hook will most likely be connected to Picard season 3, as that season has the most buzz and excitement around it. I don't see Rios headlining a new series but I could certainly see a mix of Shaw, Seven, and Raffi.

Raffi could make guest appearances with Worf, but I see Soji, following in Data's footsteps and joining Star Fleet, as a better fit for Shaw's crew. Raffi has burned a lot of bridges in Star Fleet and she doesn't seem all that into official Federation starship life. She's been burned too many times. Intelligence seems to be where she shines and her and Worf work well together. Great chemistry between the actors.

I would say that Shaw appeals to me more as a foil than as a lead. It's interesting to me to have the captain in that role.

A Titan show centered around Seven would be a pretty entertaining show. As said above, if you treat Shaw like Lorca from Discovery, you could get some pretty good stories. Add to that Ensign LaForge and her attempts to live outside of her father's shadow and I think you'd have a winner.

He’s a fun character to watch for sure, but way, WAY too cynical to be the lead on a Trek series. I also don’t find him an enormously competent captain as of yet.

From my POV, that is precisely why it is interesting. Give us something we haven’t seen.

I wonder why the writers are always having a Wolf 359 battle survivor coming in to face Captain Picard about his assisting the Borg in The Best of Both Worlds two parter! We've had Commander and later Captain Benjamin Sisko, who sadly lost his wife in the battle and now we've had Shaw who was just a grease monkey on a ship in the battle! Soon we'll have the Entertainment's Officer or even the Captain's Cabin Boy threatening the poor old guy! Doesn't anyone understand that Picard was taken over by the Borg and had his whole identity stolen from him when he became Locutus and he wasn't complying with the enemy as a traitor style character!

They could call such a spin-off series Star Trek: Conspiracy. I wouldn’t campaign for it myself. I actually want a Seven of Nine spin-off show. :)

I’m not sure about Shaw right now. I’m not sold on his abilities as a captain.

Sisko made sense, since he was only a few years removed from that event.

Shaw is odd, since that was 35 years ago, in universe.

And Seven understands Picard, as an XB herself.

Trauma isn't rational.
There is no time table on trauma, and struggling with triggers. It's not odd. It's a man who has worked hard to get where he is and ended up face to face with the face of the trauma cause. Of course it would have an impact.

People need to study trauma and it's effects on the brain before sidelining it as odd.

Why is Shaw having public outbursts instead of trying to bury the hatchet though? Or stay professional during the situation despite his dislike of Picard? Or see a ship’s counsellor? They do still have counsellors on board in the 25th century, don’t they? Or are they saying counselling failed?
