The only place it stood out to me was when Baylan and Shin were talking alone on top of the tower. Otherwise, everything looked great. Is it just me or is The Volume becoming really noticeable now?
Or maybe Kino Loy becomes Snoke! He gets the scar from failing to swim during the escape!Who knows. Maybe we've already seen Snoke. In the most recent episode of Ahsoka some random masked dude got a lightsabre in the face and it made me think of Snoke's scar in the same area. Whether he shows up or not people will look for him.
Indeed. My wife and I were watching MASH recently and there is a painfully obvious reverse projection shot. It was barely worth commenting on as we enjoyed and laugh at the episode. So long as I'm engaged in the story and characters, it could be cardboard sets and theatrical grease paint for all I care.
There are a few times in Strange New Worlds where I had an idea where their Volume started, but most it was mostly just guess work based on where the actors were standing, and how far they walked and things like that. I haven't really noticed it on the Star Wars shows. Is it just me or is The Volume becoming really noticeable now? Maybe I wouldn't notice it if I didn't know it was there but there's so many, many shots and tracking shots where you can pretty much make out where the physical props and cast members stop and the Volume begins. Trek also suffers from that occasionally but they do seem to blend it's use in much more subtly than the new SW shows do. YMMV
If there's a curved step, or barrier somewhere in SWN/DSC, then most of the time it's the wall lolThere are a few times in Strange New Worlds where I had an idea where their Volume started, but most it was mostly just guess work based on where the actors were standing, and how far they walked and things like that. Looks like a fan production.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt22393168/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm
just saw this. What on earth is
Star Wars Acolyte Trailer 2024: Rise Of The Sith
Also, people really need to remember that IMDB is just wikipedia with a paywall for editors. It's not in any way authoritative. It's a preproduction on IMDb so it's not to be trusted.
Yeah, it especially pisses me off when they actually put "Official Trailer" in the title of their fake trailer. I have no problem with fan trailers, I've watched a few myself from time to time, but I don't think they should lie and try to pass if off as the official trailer.I feel like I understand the urge to make fake trailers for things. Once upon a time I might have made a fake trailer for Episode 7 if I had had the necessary technology and skills. But it's a letdown when you find a trailer thinking it's the real deal and you play it and it turns out to be fanmade.
That really is super annoying. And, yeah, fan stuff is otherwise generally a pleasure to watch.Yeah, it especially pisses me off when they actually put "Official Trailer" in the title of their fake trailer. I do the same thing, or I at least make sure it's a trustworthy channel, like IGN or Rotten Tomatoes Trailers (formerly known as MovieClips trailers). This is why I never search for a trailer, I search for the official channel of whoever's releasing it (Star Wars, Marvel Entertainment, Sony Pictures, etc. etc.) Gives you the added bonus of also avoiding trailer reposters.
