This will be the first new Red Dwarf thing thats come out since I watched the whole series for the first time a year or so ago, so I'm definitely excited.

Or maybe they were fans of Chelsea or Arsenal who are traditional rivals of Spurs. That would make more sense given the rather derogatory nature of the references.

I don’t think they would slam Liverpool since Lister is from there.

Perhaps competing in the sense that they’ll be working on them separately. But as they both still hold interest in Grant Naylor, they’d both have an interest in the others success from a financial stand point. I don’t know if their animosity means they’d chip off their noses to spite their faces.

Rob announced a while back that he’s working on a prequel set in Titan, which would also feature the original cast in cameos (perhaps framing the prequel as a flash back).

Whereas Doug, it seems, is working on the further adventures of the original cast.
