Picard: Q, what is it that you are trying to tell me?

 

[Vanyel]

(Q leans over and almost whispers something to Picard then pulls away.)

Troi: Captain, are you all right?

 

[Vanyel]

Picard: Mr. Worf, what’s the date?

 

[LeadHead]

Worf: Stardate 47988.

 

[Vanyel]

Troi: Is something wrong, sir?

 

[LeadHead]

Picard: No, no, no, no. I think I'll go back to bed. I could really use some sleep.

Picard walks back to the turbolift, leaving Worf and Troi confused.

Captains Log Supplemental. Starfleet command reports no unusual activity along the Neutral Zone, and there is no sign of a temporal anomaly. It would appear that I am the only member of the crew to retain any knowledge of the events I experienced.

Riker’s quarters. The senior staff is playing poker.
Crusher: Take it.

 

[LeadHead]

Riker: Anytime Doctor.

 

[Vanyel]

Worf: 4 hands in a row. How does he do it?

 

[LeadHead]

Riker: I cheat.

Data starts to give him a look

I'm kidding.

 

[Vanyel]

Crusher: You know I was thinking about what the Captain told us all about the future, about how we all changed and drifted apart. Why would he want to tell us what’s to come?

 

[LeadHead]

La Forge: Sure goes against everything we've heard about not polluting the timeline doesn't it?

 

[Vanyel]

Data: I believe however this situation in unique. Since the anomaly did not occur, there have already been changes in the way this timeline is unfolding. The future we experience will undoubtedly be different from the one the Captain encountered.

 

[LeadHead]

Riker: Maybe that's why he told us. Knowing what happened in that future, allows us to change things now. (to Worf) So that some things never happen.

 

[Vanyel]

Worf: Agreed.

 

[LeadHead]
