I could see a two-parter where the Borg invade the quadrant and start taking all the technology. They don’t care about the biologicals and there’s a chaotic mass refugee crisis of billions as the locusts come in. Borg slaughter anyone in their way as they assimilate, border wars and chaos erupting everywhere. It’s an existential crisis that somehow has to be solved in part II. To be continued…

To hell with Maurice Hurley. I liked the dashes of creepiness and how dangerous space could be that he added in season 2, but this fantasy thread ain”t about preserving his fringe benefits of being a Hollywood producer in the 1980’s. Off with his head.

I don’t care who the writers are in this alternate universe. Can the later ones write the earlier show or what would their attempts at it be if they had to keep closer to it. Or could we keep the earlier ones after appropriate HR action. Up to you. This is just an exercise in interesting storytelling.

Not only does he die a hero (and had redemption for Wolf 359), but then we don't get the Pikard show.

Riker - Captain of the Enterprise-E, married with Deanna

Data - Riker's Number One or Ambassador to the Borg

Deanna - Not sure.

Dr Pulaski - In retirement. Possibly married to Data.

Guinan - Being part of Picard's staff, because of her knowledge about the Borg.

Geordi - Chief Engineer of the Enterprise-E

Worf - Captain of a ship with a mixed crew of Starfleet officers and Klingons

Wesley - Not sure.
