Well, a new movie is being developed. Most people believe it will be a sequel to Romulus, while Scott insists a sequel to Covenant should be made. I am a huge Prometheus/Covenant fan, so I would welcome an end to that storyline a lot.

I believe so too. Big fan of those novels. Not extremely well written, but amazing world building, pretty good characters and a thrilling plot.
I just like that it actually deals with what most of the movies have been about, with them using the Xenomorphs as weapons successfully

I also watched this for the first time yesterday, and I really enjoyed it.
I was actually pretty happy with the amount of character development we got before the shit started to hit the fan. It was enough to get me familiar with the characters and make me care, but didn't drag things out for too long before we got to the more exciting stuff.
It really had some outstanding action/horror set pieces, like the initial attack by the trip through the hall full of facehuggers.
I was really shocked at how big of a roll Rook played, I was expecting just a quick cameo in a Marvel style post-credits scene or something along those lines. The effects for him were pretty good, there were a few kinda wonky scenes, but most of it was pretty convince. I do like how they had him malfunctioning, so it was easier to cover up the fact that it wasn't Ian Holm's voice.
The whole did a good job, with David Jonsson as Andy as one of the stand outs. He really did a great job playing what were basically two different characters, the reprogrammed Andy, who at times almost came across as Autisic or something along those lines, and the Andy with Rook's chip, was emotionless company synth.
This one was definitely the most full on horror the series has been since the original, with The Offspring being the creepiest thing we've gotten yet in the series.
It gets a 9 from me.

That thing in Resurrection is still creepier if you ask me

That thing in Resurrection is still creepier if you ask me

The creature from Resurrection was far more monster, The Offspring has more human qualities which made it creepier in my opinion. But yes, the creature from Resurrection still gives me the creeps as well.

I thought the offspring in Romulus was more Engineer than human? Or at least a weird Human/Engineer/Xenomorph hybrid?

Re sequels I thought Alvarez was going to make a sequel to Romulus and Scott was going to make a sequel to Covenant?

I think the idea was mostly human and Engineer. With some Xenomorph.
And yes, it is being said that we'll get sequels to both movies, but Scott has implied he feels that a sequel to Covenant is more important. And, truth be told, in the grand scheme of stories I'd like to see finished, I suppose that's fair. But I enjoyed Romulus a great deal, and would certainly not mind a sequel to that as well.

Scott can make his third film, so long as that doesn't impact on a Romulus sequel because that's what I'd prefer if it was either/or. Even though I'm not a fan of Prometheus and especially not a fan of Covenant I'd still probably go watch a third film!

I recently read a quite fulfilling ALIENS sequel in bookform titled BISHOP.

Both the Bishops we have seen in the original Ripley ''trilogy'' meet up in the novel. The better Bishop is resurrected, making him the last survivor of the Sulaco.

And THEN he encounters the last survivor of Fiorina/Fury, Mr. Bob Morse. Imagine the conversations they have. No further spoilers, but the ending is greatly satisfying indeed.

I only watched Resurrection once, and don't remember it at all.

Oh, I had thought it was meant to just be Human/Xenomorph, it didn't occur to me that it had Engineer in there too, but that would explain why it was so tall. And I guess the face was kind of Engineerish.

I know they’re still cagey about the Alien and Predator series still sharing a universe, and leaning towards “probably not”… but I still wish there was a sequel to Predators, despite it being obvious that there never will be.

I like to think the Aliens are canon in the Predator universe and not the other way round.

Oh, in my head they share a universe. But my head is a weird place I don't even like to be so I can understand others wouldn't want to either.

This is a great addition to the "Alien" franchise and worth a watch.
It's fast-paced and looks like it is in the same universe as the other movies.

That said...
This whole movie is basically the game "Alien: Isolation". This was one of my favorite games for play and story. But the entire movies plot has been lifted from this game. If you liked the movie, play the game.

I finally saw Alien Romulus.

I have very conflicted feelings about it. Production design very good. Adding a million homages from the first two movies bad. Everything else in between.

It's not the best Alien movie, and it's not the worst. Weirdly, the one it reminds me most of is Covenant. They look fabulous, and have some great ideas, and a lot is executed well...and then there's other stuff that just feels so hacky and weird.

Well if you're going to copy anything... ;)

(I just hope they can make the sequel as good as the first game. I like the limitations placed on the player, and the shit-your-pants moments that comes with that. So if they can avoid going down the Alien$ Isolation$ road and stick to what works, that would be great.)

Has there been any news on when this will drop on Disney+ in Europe?
I don't know where you live but if you live in Turkey, there is a law in Turkey that says streaming platforms can come 5 months after a movie is released, but probably in January, like iTunes, Disney Plus will be added in February. The latest movies were added this way. Alien Romuls movie has been added to Disney Plus in many other countries.
