Honestly....? I feel so dumb.... I saw the headline that OP posted and was like 'fuck'. Never bothered to check the source. Rookie fucking goddamned dumb ass mistake.
If the Interwebz says something, don't assume it's true.
Yup, I'm guilty, too, and I'm usually good about it.

As for World of Reel, I've heard of it but it's a dubious source. However, there might have been a grain of truth if the Twentieth Century Studios president felt that he needed to respond.

We shall see. I must say, the sequel has been announced a while back, and nothing since. But that CAN actually be a good thing. Meaning they are taking their time and not rushing it. This was discussed recently when it comes to The Batman sequel. I'd rather they'd take their time and make it good, then rush it.
And, as much as I love Alien, Prometheus and Covenant (I know what's coming now), Ridley needs to not try and control this. I know he keeps saying he will make his new trilogy complete, but he's been saying that for a while now.
I'd rather just move on and accept the connections to P&C we got in Romulus and perhaps keep that going and move on than him stalling a sequel to Romulus because 'hey, you know, maybe, if I feel like it, and whatever, I'll do that sequel to Covenant'.

I think the font and the header threw me off with that article. It has a slight hint of Variety to it.

i wonder what season 2 of alien earth is gonna be about

i have this crazy theory lol lol what if alien earth is set in a alternate reality in the ridley scott aliens multiverse

and what if alien earth is like almost the exactly same as the original ridley scott alien movies timeline reality but in some ways with a few here and there differences in the ridley scott aliens multiverse

i mean look at the aliens vs predator movies that was set in a alternate reality

I think I'm the only person who hated Alien Isolation. I tried playing through it twice, and gave up on the same part both times. Never even got to the Alien stalking bits that were the selling point of the game, because I couldn't freaking get past the gun wielding human bandits! And even when I stealth-KOd some, the game wouldn't let me pick up and use the guns they had just been shooting me with! I've beaten just about every Soulsborne game I can think of, but Alien Isolation just wasn't fun for me.
There are mods that change the config files to give you unlimited overpowered revolver ammo, or let the alien or synths ignore you. That way you can enjoy the atmosphere, designs, story, with muss less frustration ;)

Boy I wish I could mod the PlayStation version. I'm only a moderate gamer and just could not get through the whole game much as I wanted to. :D

Ridley Scott is developing a sequel to Covenant.

"Scott says it will pick up with David (Michael Fassbender) creating a 'brave new world for himself.' Scott is fascinated by the character, a malfunctioning AI."

I liked Covenant a lot, so I'm curious where Scott wants to take David's story.

Indeed! Both Prometheus and Covenant were great movies for me personally. A sequel to end the trilogy would be most welcome!

A lot of people didn't like those movies for some reason. I never understood the hate. I found Fassbender's portrayal of David to be far more interesting than any of the other actual-human characters. There were a lot of deeply philosophical questions raised, particularly in the first film. For example, I'm reminded of the staggering lack of introspection with AI tech-bros in the current age when they only ever ask "can we do a thing?" as opposed to "should we do a thing?", in the scene where David speaks with Holloway:
  • Charlie Holloway: What we hoped to achieve was to meet our makers. To get answers. Why they - why they even made us in the first place.
  • David: Why do you think your people made me?
  • Charlie Holloway: We made you because we could.
  • David: Can you imagine how disappointing it would be for you to hear the same thing from your creator?
  • Charlie Holloway: [chuckles] I guess it's good thing you can't be disappointed.
  • David: Yes. It's wonderful, actually.
This conversation strongly resonates with our current concerns over the stunning Moore's Law-fueled growth of AI in our civilization.

isnt david the heel aka villain aka bad guy android that killed and took over his twin at the end of covenant

I find the first two fascinating but heavily flawed. But I am glad we might finally get the "finale".

Prometheus at least looked great, I nipped to the loo during Covenant and seriously considered not going back into the cinema.

David was an interesting character, at least in Prometheus, hed become a moustache twirling villain by Covenant.

I'd take Romulus and Alien Earth over both of them, can't say in not intrigued though.
