Aladdin live-action teaser trailer

The shots of Smith in his Blue Genie form aren't at all jarring or distracting in these clips, as distinct from the reactions people had to that first teaser.

It's the comic, ad-lib aspects of Williams' performance that make it stronger, not a better* or more energetic singing voice.

Am I missing something, or is Jafar absent from nearly all of the promotional material? His menace and cunning are crucial to the conflict of the original animated film.

My first thought watching this was Robin Williams is alive? My second thought watching this after learning who actually did the impressions was well done on both Robin Williams and Gilbert Godfreed. That short was fun.

IGN has given it a 6.7/10.

IGN's reviews says that Jafar is one of the movie's weak points, so maybe Disney recognized this to, and that's why they haven't shown much of him so far.

He’s featured in one of the trailers (can’t remember which one) for a few seconds.

Yeah, they really captured Robin Williams and his take on the Genie very well.

Not that hard to do a Gilbert Gottfried impression, though. :p
