Spoilers Agents of SHIELD- The Final Season Discussion

I stuck around for most of the first half of the season. My intent was to see it through to Crisis, but I couldn't even do that...came back after missing two or three episodes just for Crisis.

A badly written story arc cut in half is still a badly written story arc.

I'm only sticking with Flash because hopefully it will be actually done in a year or so. I'm afraid to start any other Arrowverse show because the formula is really the same (At least on Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl). I've heard Stargirl is pretty good and I heard Black Lightning had a great first season but I have to ask how is BL's second season? I've learned you can't really judge these shows on the first season because of course they are good and fresh. It's what comes after that breaks shows a part.

I have heard a lot of mix talk about Legends though. Some say it's whacky good. Some say it's too stupid for it's own good. It seems like that show is very much an outlier in the Arrow-verse.

Black Lighting is great. Stargirl also is pretty good at least up through the first 4 or 5 eps. That's where I am currently at as I watch it. I would suggest giving Superman a chance because it's unlikely they will cancel it. Legends is very funny. It's the most fun of all of the shows. I am someone who doesn't like current Doctor Who and I see Legends as the true Doctor Who style show on tv right now. What people call stupid is what I would call being silly and lighthearted.

I absolutely love Legends of Tomorrow, that show is hilarious... if you ignore season one which kinda sucked. Once they decided to embrace the crazy, the show became really good. :D It's so different to all the other Arrowverse shows because it doesn't take itself seriously... at all. ;)

I also really enjoyed the first season of Stargirl. Of course we have no idea how season two will turn out. But I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I thought season one of Legends was good. They had a few bad characters and it wasn't the silly show it is now but I liked it.

^ OK, it had some good things. But Vandal Savage was a pretty terrible villian and Hawkman and Hawkgirl were just such boring characters.

Season 2 is where Legends fell off a cliff for me... specifically the finale.

Vandal Savage and the Hawks were just fine in Season 1.

Yeah, the first season of Legends was absolutely dire. Thank goodness they stopped taking themselves so seriously and embraced the wackiness.

So I did end up deciding to give AoS a second chance, and while the Pilot still doesn't hold a candle to any of Joss' other writing, it wasn't as bad as I remembered it being.

Rewatching from the start gives me more appreciation for the writers' respect for continuity. Like, I now see the reason Talbot was so convinced he was the only one who could save us all is that it's what the scientist was thinking when he got sucked in.

I'm surprised no one posted this sooner (and that it's been out for a week and I haven't seen it):

Yeah, neither of those got the order of the main seven right. It goes: Mac > Yo-yo > May > Fitzsimmons > Daisy > Coulson. ;)

I like Yo-Yo > Mac > Fitz > Simmons > Daisy > May > Coulson.

I feel Bobbi, Hunter, Ward, and Deke should also be seen as core characters even though 3 of them weren't regulars when the series ended. They feel like essential pieces to the long term success of the show.

Hunter > Bobbi > Ward > Deke > Yo-Yo > Mac > Fitz > Simmons > Daisy > May > Coulson?

I mostly like that order but I would put Deke at the very end and I think Daisy in second place with May going to third. Granted I sort of even see a argument for Simmons to third and May to 4th but I can't see Fitz over May and thus you would have to separate Fitz and Simmons and no way should that be done.

My thinking is: obviously Coulson's first (viewing this as a countdown), then May as the mom to Coulsons dad, then Daisy as the POV character when the show started, then the other 2 original characters who didn't break bad, in the order they are so it reads as Fitsimmons, then their grandson, then the director by the end of the series, then the other super hero, then the bad guy to finish off the originals, then Hunter and Bobbi, with Bobbi first because she's freakin' Mockingbird.

Okay I didn't even see it from that perspective. I like it. Though maybe you should also add Enoch as the crazy uncle.:)
