either talbot is dense as lead or he needs better people working for him if they can't tell the difference between what was inflicted by blunt force trauma vs the damage Daisy can do by quaking.

Well he has always been shown to be pretty dense (even for an officer) so that's not exactly inconsistent.

Other potential mitigating factors: the body "washed up", so it was dumped in the sea near the coast. That alone is going to potentially obfuscate the exact nature of the wounds, at least until a more detailed postmortem examination. Which brings me to the other point: this literally only just happened. He's been dead for at least a day or two, but they may have only found the body mere hours ago.

Oh, nice observation. I hadn't noticed that trend. Maybe we'll get a surprise appearance in the finale, but I doubt it.

Well, they've had movie-character appearances that weren't tied into current movies, like Malick and Ellis last season.

I keep hoping Dr. Helen Cho will show up, since I really like Claudia Kim.

Actually, I was thinking that an appearance by Wong would be a natural. He is the caretaker of the library of magic books, and short of destroying the Darkhold (In the comics, it can't be destroyed), I can't think of any safer place to keep it (recent breaches to the library notwithstanding) than in Wong's care.
