These guys seem to have a lot of fun on their show. Great for them!
Yeah, great episode. That was 4 years of character build-up paying off last night.
With the Darkhold and Aida's little life-making machine, they can do anything. They can save anyone. "Will they" is another question. They've set it up so they can get a reasonable facsimile of Ward or Trip out of the Framework. Or they can probably bring Radcliffe back to the real world. Or maybe even Mace. Or maybe it'll be Aida, and then Coulson will shoot her one second later, like what happened to good ol' American Hero John Garrett.
I totally cannot wait for next week's episode.

Another good episode, but I'm just not caught up into the whole thing as everyone else is. Still, it's great to have Trip around and ironically this is the one iteration of Ward I don't find annoying. Either Brett Dalton has become a better actor or the writers finally figured out how to use him.

I'd very much like Radcliffe to be redeemed. Maybe not necessarily survive the framework, but at least end on a high note. He's been such a fun character, despite being a bit misguided. But everything happening to him now just feels so cruel.
I know this arc isn't doing it for everyone, but it's definitely doing it for me. I just can't say no to a bizzaro world story.

I think that Leopold comes back and we have the season or series finale. Perhaps at best SHIELD tries to take him to Tahiti to get Fitz back in comic tie in or a fifth season
Just when you thought Fitz and Simmons could finally be together, they went and pulled an Illyria on us.
I haven't enjoyed a "SHIELD" story arc this much since the fall of SHIELD in late Season One.
It was great to have Trip around again. And I believe that the writers gave Brett Dalton a first-rate character with Framework Ward. It is the only time I have ever liked Ward.

The Fall of Shield Arc was what made me love this show, and while I loved season 2 & 3, it probably remained by favourite story arc of the show. Season 4 has given it a big run for its money IMO with the Ghost Rider story and now the Framework story.
When he was pretending to be good, he was boring. Then he showed his true colours and became a (figurative) monster, died, then became a literal one. When were we supposed to like him?
Characters can be likeable and interesting while still being monstrous. Just look at Scorpius, Davros, Emperor Cartagia, Servalan, or Gul Dukat. Grant Ward was a poorly written character that was possibly underperformed by a mediocre actor (I can't really say about the latter since I haven't seen Dalton in anything else).
Well, well. I should have known the Darkhold would figure into it somehow. So they have basically created the ultimate 3D printer, which can turn virtual people into real people. I can see how this can be used to not only save Radcliffe and Agnes and Mace, but also bring Good Ward into the real world, and separate Fitz from his evil doppelganger. Maybe even allow Mack to have his simulated daughter. I'm not entirely sure why Aida had to go all supervillain to accomplish her plan, but I'm sure she and the Russian will perish for real if they do make it out.
But I do wonder what will happen to the Framework. Are all those people in there actual AIs or are they just NPCs. If they are AIs, it will be incumbent upon SHIELD to keep the Framework up and running or there will be mass death.
I definitely liked Coulson's speech. It was very Coulson and very timely. And it was also very nice and appropriate that the Patriot's death is the catalyst for revolution. The crowd outside did seem to gather pretty quickly, or maybe there was a time lapse in there somewhere.

In the real world, she's bound by her protocols and is essentially exploiting a programming loophole to keep them in the framework, where she is decidedly unbound. As for why she chose that role for herself I think it should be obvious. In the real world she's a slave, so why wouldn't she want that role reversed in her own domain?
It also has the upshot of keeping her close to Fitz, whom I believe she does have true affection for and whom she needed to help her figure a way out of her predicament.
As I said last week, with the Darkhold in play, it may not be quite as simple as that. The framework itself could be real in some sense. A little pocket universe like the mirror dimension or something. So those people could all be "real".
