Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

For On Demand, via cable, many networks request that fast forwarding capability be disabled, giving you no choice but to sit thru the ad breaks.
With HULU you cannot escape the commercial sets, but you can move back and forth in the show between commercial sets.
Once you get to one of the commercial sets it will run for two or three, however many is in that set, then return you to the show.

Hulu taught me how not to mind ads again. Question though, if you fast forward an ad on DVRs, don't you still see the speeded up visuals of the ads? It seems to me that if I were an advertiser I would just have my logo up for fifteen seconds, prominent enough within the ad that the viewer sees it. C'mon, fastforwarding ads has been standard practice since VHS became popular.

my cable provide only promos other shows on the network when I use the on-demand (but that's in Ontario) so I should be glad.

My biggest gripe with HULU ads it that they do not appear in the right space. The show goes to blck, you get a couple of seconds of the part that is supposed to follow the commercial break, then it jumps to commercial! When the show resumes it leaves off the few seconds that were put in the wrong spot. Once was a mistake, but every episode is this way so it must be just the way the equipment is set.

Really? I've never run into that with Hulu. Could it be your computer?
I have run into that with CBS.com though, it'll go two or three minutes past the commercial break in the show before it actually plays the commercial.

Yeah, that seems like it'll be really cool. I'm not sure if I want to start collecting first run comics (I've been limited to back catalog and Trade Paperback, particularly Daredevil), but that's one I'll give serious thought to.

I'm not sure if I'm OK with Fitz's monkey in the comic. Monkeys are cool and all, I just figure Fitz could make something that can do more than a monkey. It is great that they're in the Marvel Universe though and not restricted by movie deals.

Well, there's 6 Avengers. They've all been in 3 movies, except Iron Man had 4, so far, and Hawkeye just 2. Add to that he really wasn't himself for half of the Avengers movie, and he's the most under used Avenger. If anyone could use some more exposure, it's him. Especially after SHEILD imploded with HYDRA poping out like a chestburster and Hawkeye didn't apparently do anything. We know there's lots of good SHEILD agents still left besides Coulson's team, Whiplash killed a whole safe house full of them. Fury even mentioned he was heading to Europe at the end of TWS, maybe Hawkeye was there?

Ever since Clark Gregg dropped that Hawkeye image I was hopeful for Renner to appear on AoS. Now this news of Renner suiting up for a mystery filming sequence during a time when it seems AoS would be returning to work to film the back half of the season and I'm raising my hopes!!!

We've had Maria Hill, Nick Fury and Sif from the films appear along with Sitwell and Agent Blake(Item 47 OneShot). RDJ has hinted he'd be willing to show up. I hope the second half of S2 adds Renner's Hawkeye to the list of cinematic crossover appearances!!

While AOS seems like the most likely candidate, Marvel could also be filming pick-ups or post-credit scenes on Ant-Man. Or even Daredevil. Or perhaps Hawkeye would make a good guest star on an episode of Jessica Jones. Hawkeye certainly knows Luke and Jessica well in the comics. It would be appropriate if they gave Jessica a similar introduction/backstory on tv as they did in the comics, and claim that she used to be an agent of Shield with Hawkeye or something like that.

^^^
Good point. I kinda let the Netflix shows beyond DD escape me and the ties Hawkeye has with Jones makes sense but I just read that AKA Jones hasn't even started pre-production(Christopher provided a link in the other thread) so it can't be that.

Now a post credit scene in Ant-Man with Clint shooting Lang off an arrow would be priceless!!!

If Coulson counts as an Avenger, then there are six Avengers who don't know that there are seven Avengers.

I'm thinking AoS or more Age of Ultron filming are the most likely things for Renner to be filming. I'm hoping for AoS myself, especially after Clark Gregg posted the Hawkeye and Coulson picture.
