Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

His WIFE is on the show!

Someone would have to be massive toerag not to book that actor.

On the show though Bobbie Morse was married to Hunter not Hawkeye.

They could set up their future marriage.

^Or that Hunter is her second ex-husband. ;)

Or, you know, not bother with the marriage angle at all and just have him on because he's Hawkeye! I mean if any Avenger was ever likely to show up on AoS, it'd have to be him.

Gregg has to be running his Twitter and Facebook postings past someone. Not just his own agent, either...

So Bobbi seems up to something sneaky yet it doesn't give off a "traitor for Hydra" vibe...might she be spying on Coulson for Stark? It might help up to set up the "privatizing national/world security" angle for AoU, and would be a good way to bring Maria Hill back into the show.

No. I think they're given explicit instructions about not revealing too much. But they do interviews all the time and their answers aren't pre-approved. Marvel trusts them to follow instructions (which they usually do pretty well after making jokes about snipers waiting outside to shoot them if they say too much). Particularly Clark Gregg who has been doing this for as long as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has existed and knows how to say just enough without getting into trouble.

He is also a guy with a clear sense of humor who likes playing off of fan expectations by saying off the wall things. So I think everything should be taken with a grain of salt. But I don't think Marvel is actively managing his twitter feed and pre-screening everything.

Occam's razor suggests he posted the pic because he thought it looked cool.

That said, a Hawkeye appearance would be awesome!

Seriously. I've been worried that we might not get another season. I hope that keeps up.

3.1 is excellent. However, it's not quite clear how to take into account delayed viewers. Certainly, they don't affect prices of commercials during broadcast. That being said, it is at least some revenue, it indicates greater interest in the show beyond the day it aired, and, imo, it suggests better help around it (or a better timeslot) would help. In addition, it's got good numbers in the key demos even during the live broadcast.

Studies done by the broadcast industry show that a large number of viewers let the commercials run through when watching, using their DVR for time shifting and not commercial avoidance. So for commercials that are not time sensitive, like limited time offers such as sales, the +1, +3 and +7 day data is still holds some importance.

Or the broadcasters could be lying to the advertisers to keep the ad rates high. Either way it's data the broadcasters care about.

Studies done by the broadcast industry...
In that case, I'd be absolutely 100% assured that whatever they say wouldn't be in their best interest. Just like I'd be absolutely 100% assured that if the tobacco companies said smoking prolongs my health, it must be true.

Because, yeah, I can totally see the majority of people not skipping through commercials. No really, I can. Because I know so many people who do that. Let's see, there's... no. How about... hmm, no. Maybe it was... ugh, no. Oh! Wait, no...

The only time most people do that is if they're going to use the restroom, grab a snack, or otherwise get distracted. Or, at best, they just forget that they're watching something they recorded and completely zone out on the fact that they could fastfoward through. That's about it.

For On Demand, via cable, many networks request that fast forwarding capability be disabled, giving you no choice but to sit thru the ad breaks.
