Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

Anyone here watch this season's second episode of Law & Order SVU?

There was a familiar face starring in the episode, Henry Simmons, the guy who plays Mac.

Act I of Episode 4:

Liking it so far! Love the little "heist" with Hunter and Skye. Hunter's fitting in quite well, with his own "style" so that he's not a "fill-in".

And I LOVE the exchange between the priests in the first scene, about faith and the rest of the world needing "more". It's a quick throwaway exchange, but it's great, nonetheless.

And nice to see Coulson's concerns about the symbols and his mind. Still, I find it interesting no one seems concerned that Skye might follow in his footsteps.

Okay...okay. I have to say, I do NOT care for this twist.

Talbot's HYDRA?

Really?

I liked it better when he was a hard-nosed general with a complicated dynamic with Coulson. They could've done SO MUCH with that!

But no...he's GOT to be HYDRA. No complication--he's just another 2-D bad guy.

Let's hope there's a twist to this twist.

...

ACT III

Glad to see this ep's twist doesn't disappoint, after all!

^Yep! Just saw it. Feel much better, now. :)

BTW...do we have names on Mysterious Dark-haired Dark-voiced HYDRA Guy and Mysterious White-haired HYDRA Guy with glasses?

(Oh, and...gotta love May seeing the HYDRA logo and then going "Leeroy Jenkins" without batting an eye. Classic.)

Sunil Bakshi and Dr. Daniel Whitehall AKA Obergruppenfuhrer (First name unknown as yet) Reinhardt, respectively.

^Thanks.

Nice to see Fitz's continuing re-growth.

Think I know where this is going:

Fitz is gonna stop faux-May's sabotage.

Gotta love May verbally holding her own. "Do you know where you are?" "About five feet away from kicking your a--."

And...OH CRAP with Coulson revealing you-know-what to you-know who....

YES! YEAH, COULSON!!!

Glad they didn't go for the tired old "mole makes everyone looks stupid for most of the episode" cliché. Still...Coulson DID reveal to a HYDRA agent that 1) he's the new director of SHIELD, and 2) he's got a problem that might incapacitate him.

(Oh...and I really hope Fitz gets his speech impediment fixed soon. I know--it was appropriately hard to watch, but...it's getting more inappropriately hard to watch.)

May vs. May. Your argument is invalid.

Interesting about Fitz. I knew his speech is messed up, but apparently his hands don't work well, either, so...he needs Hunter to be his hands?

Yeah, he knows. He said last week that she wasn't real and he referred to her as the Elephant in the room this week. Just when he found out I'm not sure, but he knows by now.

Fitz knows from Coulson that Simmons is on long-term assignment. He doesn't know where. Yet.

^I just mean what he said to the other guys. I thought Coulson told him at the end of the last episode....

Gotta say...Dr. Whitehall is a DANG good Big Bad. He does what no one in Season One was able to do...give Raina her comeuppance! The manipulator gets manipulated, at last!

Anyone able to do that...deserves respect.

Fine. He's got it.

About that torture boast of his, though? I'd still want to end him. Or shop him to either Coulson or the Mossad. Take your pick.
