Actually I like the way Peggy's double life fits into the standard superhero secret-identity paradigm, even though she's not a superhero. We haven't really had much of that in the MCU so far. Iron Man and Cap have public identities, Thor is just Thor, Banner is known by the authorities to be the Hulk, and everyone else is part of SHIELD. There have been some instances of people going incognito or hiding out -- Banner in the solo Hulk movie, Cap and Widow in TWS, Coulson's team in season 2 of their show -- but only to elude the authorities who knew their identities and activities. We haven't really had an ongoing scenario where a character conceals a crimefighting persona beneath a more neutral facade that's known to the public and the authorities.
In fact, Peggy doubles down on it, since she's got a public persona as a phone-company employee, a persona known to the government as a marginalized SSR employee, and a deeper secret life as a top-notch agent.
I suppose we'll get more secret-identity storytelling once Daredevil comes along, but I don't know about the other Netflix series. I know Jessica Jones's story was about being a retired superhero turned detective, and I assume the show would follow that structure. I don't think Luke Cage ever really had a secret identity -- he used a code name for a while, but that was just for show, and he was in it for the money, so I assume he'd want people to know what name to write on their checks. As for Iron Fist, he wears a mask, so I guess he has a secret identity, but I don't know the character well enough to be sure.
