"Agent Carter" season one discussion and spoilers

Last night's episode was definitely the best one yet. I can't believe they got Chris Evans to come back for an entire episode!!! But I feel that introducing time travel in this series of all places is a really odd decision for the MCU. And why would Captain America be able to handle the Time Stone, if GOTG established that a normal person is destroyed by touching a stone?

Yeah, that was pretty cool. I'm assuming that this was a preview of Peggy's scene in Age of Ultron, except last night we got Peggy's side of the story and in the movie, we'll get Steve's.

But, foreshadowing aside, was that stock footage at the end of the episode, or was that who I thought it was?

"Fondue." Classic!:techman:

I'm lost. What episode are you two talking about? Did I somehow miss an episode?

They're messin' with us.

A loooong time ago, during the second or third season of Star Trek: Enterprise, UPN gave us a off week, just like ABC did this week with Agent Carter. Anyway, at the time someone here set up a review thread and totally reviewed a non-existent episode named "Interregnum". The people who caught on added bits and pieces to the story (such as a Kirk cameo) until the tale achieved a life of it's own. The people who didn't catch on were cussing UPN for not advertising the episode and cursing themselves for missing such an important episode.

I can't find the original "Interregnum" thread, which is a shame, but I did find this thread about the thread.

Fun times. Who remembers the "Interregnum" thread?

Being no fools, Marvel is building up Peggy Carter in its current comics. Most notably, Operation Sin, which has Peggy and Howard Stark teaming up to fight aliens back in the day . . ..

Peggy I assume is still in a retirement home in "present" day. Agents of shield have shown an aged char reverse his age and get young again. I still think at some point it will be determined she's the only person who may have vital info so they give her some vers of the process probably utilizing Sky's cells.

^Nope. Peggy passed away of old age in the first issue of Brubaker's second volume.

ETA: Never mind. Greg Cox was talking about the comics and FreezeC77 was talking about the show and my streams crossed.:alienblush:

I don't remember the thread, but I've remembered people always talking about it, which, to me, is somehow more appropriate.
Do you remember the thread about the 75-minute Director's Cut of "These Are The Voyages?"

I don't remember that one. By that point, the big thread was all about the Trek United brewhaha.

TATV would have made for a better episode - provided the Riker/Troi scenes were left at exactly the same length. That would have allowed for a full length (or longer than full length) episode rather than a rushed episode that really only served to do two things (have Riker learn his lesson and have Trip die). I'm not going to pretend the episode would be well-received either way, but I am convinced it wouldn't have been hated as much.

I agree with Jolene's opinion of the episode.
